Jack is an NL or NLS quality player who should be full time but who seems to be playing for fun part time at the Chats. With that kind of freedom he must be enjoying himself immensely, and the goals are the result. Maybe we should go back to part time! Interesting what you say about Jack Evans. Ive seen him play around 20 times for the Chats and yes he is impressive. But don't you remember him playing for the boys in Black and Amber ? Quite a few seasons when he was probably around 22/23 years of age. Looked very ordinary then, compared to some others and was a fringe player in the squad. I think he must be touching 30 now, so not sure he can keep improving. Be amazing to see him back at the Gallagher next season though in a red shirt. Almost anything in football is possible.

Very close Jackster - Jack Evans actually played for us when he was 23-24, 17 games and one goal - a decent enough midfielder as I remember him but not special - and no signs back then on the free scoring Chats midfield Centre Forward he is now! My guess would be that comes from age/wisdom and the freedom of playing for fun PT. BTW very optimistic that we will be playing the Chats next season as if George doesnt get his in-season recruitment right (To replace the pre-season signings who havent come up to scratch) we may well pass the Chats going the other way. Heaven forbid! Also would Chats go Full-Time in NLS? Or will they learn from us and stay PT for as long as they can? That will be interesting to see. All very speculative, though - its not yet September!

My sincere apologies to even suggest a negative possibility Dave. I said it as a possibility. Its still a possibility we may get relegated just as much as it’s a possibility we may make playoffs. But in your world Dave such realism clearly isn’t allowed. I was speaking to a couple of neutrals visiting us for the toytown game and both agreed we were a mid table side. Am I allowed to say that Dave or shall I puff the magic dragon out on the amber specs and talk about how we are gonna win the FA Cup this year led by newly knighted Sir George Elokobi and double National Lottery winners Oliver and Terry? For goodness sake!

Just for the record, my thoughts about Stones playing Chats next season was based on the Reds maybe getting promoted, not on our club getting relegated. Anything could happen, including both clubs or neither club, getting promoted. Relegation should not be in anybody's mind.

We will not get relegated, even this squad us good enough to avoid that. Considering that most of our games have been away I think we can be reasonably pleased with the opening month of the season, mid table is not disastrous at all. The team is still trying to gel together and I think October to Xmas will be our time to excel. On the subject of this thread I saw Ibrahim Olutade play for Folkestone on Saturday,he didn't score but caused complete mayhem in the Margate 18 yard box. Should have been man of the match but the adjudicator couldn't see past the goalscorer..

For goodness sake! The point I was making is that relegation shouldn’t even be a possibility in anyone’s mind. This squad is too good for that. But as usual you can’t stand anyone disagreeing with you. I bet you go quiet when things are going well. Those who do nothing but criticise always disappear when there’s nothing to moan about.

I went to Hythe yesterday, to discover: Manager - Steve Watt, Assistant Manager - Alex Flisher, Player Coach - Frannie Collin. They can’t be up to much, judging by the team’s display!
But the programme shows scorers around Kent last week - Luke Rooney for Stansfield Stephen Okoh for Lydd
And Taylor Curran was sent off for Three Bridges!

Furthermore, Barham scored twice for Aldershot yesterday to equalise (but still lost), and Amaluzor scored the only goal at Altrincham (there can't be two of them, can there?).

Luke Rooney is never at the same club 2 seasons running
