I dont think Timmy Abraham will get much mention in this thread in the future.
Not been impressed with him at all since we had him on loan.

How we can have Liam sole and chi on the bench today when we have Timmy Abraham and Lamar Reynolds with a combined total of zero goals beggars believe. Both put in a 60-75 minute inept performance yet again today.

Clearing the decks for half dozen quality new players I hope. Someone questioned why we signed the young loanee from Orient rather than using our own academy. If you have seen him play you will understand why, he looks small and light weight but he is tenacious and skilful. Apart from Timmy who looks more of a footballer than Levi but cannot cut the mustard, the signings have been good and I am looking forward to seeing more.

He did look impressive - although it took him a while to settle in to the in the Dartford game. Unfortunately, too impressive for us to hang on to him - which is the paradox with loanees, they help you out of a spot of trouble, you get used to them, then they go and you're back at square one. But I am puzzled by Chi's lack of playing time. He looked so good in the early part of the season - for my money, actually a better prospect than Amantchi. But then he was out injured for ages, and now George doesn't seem to want to play him. Is he still carrying an injury? Is he just not the same player after injury? We will never know if he doesn't get the time to play his way back into the team!

George is an enigma with player selection, subs, loans, etc. With the team consistently in the play-offs (and looking more than capable of going up - on our good days!) and in the FAC 4th round for the first time ever, it's hard to say anything negative about the manager (after all, what more can he do - beat Yeovil to the championship AND get through to the 5th round?!). But, I am still left feeling conflicted about his team selections, subs, etc - even sometimes the players he brings in (and those he lets go!).
Although maybe we've just been spoilt by his success - after all, it is only his first season and he's still learning the ropes. Reminds me a bit of Jay - he was also a rookie manager, but gave us three promotions in four seasons - so we started to believe he could do anything, and criticised him when he turned out to be just human after all!

George's first full season for the club and i hasten to add his last, with more publicity on national TV against Ipswich i fear it will create interest from many teams above us and in May or sooner he'll be gone.

If you want gloom, doom, pessimism and worse still, swordy is def your man ! Just because I'm the only one brave enough to post what we all know makes me all of the above? If you look back to when Hak was sacked I was virtually the only one giving George 110% backing and saying even then that the Stones job will be the first brief stepping stone in a glorious managerial career and gloomy ,doomy or otherwise he is proving me correct. I wish him nothing but the best of luck whenever and wherever he roams.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if George ended up managing a Premier League club?
And every interview he gave he talked about starting his career at Maidstone United?
Apart from Chris Smalling, who else do we have who made it big?
