So I have heard in all fairness.
A bit of an acquired taste, I don't think he would ever be on Oliver and Terry's radar.

Decent start for Kedwell.
Only time will tell if he takes his chance, or bounces around the lower Kent clubs.

So I have heard in all fairness. A bit of an acquired taste, I don't think he would ever be on Oliver and Terry's radar. I remember not too many years ago when Terry was asked by the faithful to “give us give us give us a song” instead of a stones chant he gave us the less than complimentary anti Danny Kedwell rant! So there was no way he was coming anywhere near the Gallagher!

Kendal town of the North West Counties league are up in arms about being shunted over to the Northern League without even being consulted. They state that the change doubles the miles of travel during the season. They wait the result of an appeal

Combine those two clubs’ arguments, and you end up with Braintree!

Coalville Town of the Southern Central Premier have resigned from the league with immediate effect. Their ageing chairman can no longer go on and there is no one to take the club forward. 😪

Imagine losing your club in those circumstances. Just stopping. Sad

Imagine losing your club in those circumstances. Just stopping. Sad I assume they will reappear at step 5 or 6 in the future.

It was a bad injury that did for his career, I think. With hindsight, he should never have left Herne Bay. But then he’d have had to put up with…..

Bit more to it than that. Not easy to keep up with Jake's footballing career, but he will have played for at least 8 different clubs since 2020. (Margate, Tonbridge, Carshalton, Faversham, Sheppey, Leatherhead, Hythe and now Lordswood. But I could easily have missed a couple. Thats since leaving Stones at the end of the 19/20 season. He's not the only one that moves around often during a season, let alone at the end. Loyalty to the badge ? That's a joke. They are not all like it, but it doesn't say much about what motivates too many players these days

Remember reading that pay is far from the main reason why people go to work. Doing something worthwhile, social contact, career building etc all come before just money, which was actually only 5th. Whether that applies to part times footballers and especially anyone with an agent, who wants his cut too, is another matter. I think it was Bill Shankly who once said something along the lines that most footballers start off as working class boys, not always the best educated. A polite was of saying they were mostly not very bright? Maybe. Compared to sports like rugby and cricket, where many come from a private school background, education may be a factor - not because state schools aren't good enough, but because private schools cater for the privileged and teach them how to maintain their status. As ever though, beware sweeping generalisations!
