Sad news reaching Swordy towers that K Sports are set to fold at the end of the season. The club has informed the league of their withdrawal and this leaves Welling Town as the primary club using Cobdown. It's a funny one but must have been on the cards when Welling moved in. I think Greenways play there too. APM were always a good club through my years of playing and watching Kent football. If we won the lottery and ended up in the Football League, it would be a good sight for a training base. Pie in the sky dreams. I painted up a banner saying "bring the stones home". We got in the KM for it, when we paraded it at APM

The whole site was up for sale not so long ago. Hope it’s protected against residential development.
But then K Sports was always a stupid name for a local non league club with a long and noble history.

Well I am now hearing definite plans for K Sports who intend to rename themselves Sheppey Sports and groundshare with Sheppey utd. Now if that's not strange enough I am now hearing rumours of Welling Utd entering in a groundshare agreement with Tonbrudge Angels.Curiouser and curiouser.

It’s for a season while PVR is refurbished. Not sure what’s happening with Erith & Belvedere

Last K Sports attendance was 62. Should rename themselves Aylesford and Ditton and reach out to the local community.

So refurbishment serious enough to necessitate one club to move nearly 30 miles away, whilst the other club can stay and keep playing. How does that work??
