So Jack Cawley is not injured. Just not making the match day squad. Or have i missed a previous announcement?

Tbf I think the Gallagher sounds more of a Rehabilitation Centre than a football stadium
Reading through that list and the seriousness of so many injuries, well it was pretty grim.
Whichever way you look at it, Hak must be tearing his hair out.
In truth, I dont think all of them would make a first choice X1, but its still quite a shortfall of some decent players.
Hard for Hak, managing with what's left and needing to strengthen the team with players other clubs are prepared to release.
Wishful thinking wont change anything. Hak needs to be cut some slack and all we should be doing is getting behind him and the team.

More like the A&E ward.
Why are our injuries so numerous this season?

Playing devil’s advocate…4G pitch combined with pushing players to their physical limits?

So Jack Cawley is not injured. Just not making the match day squad. Or have i missed a previous announcement? Very good point. I was critical of Cawley at first, but having seen us play without him in the weeks after and now that we've had players in the same position come through the door who have been worse, it feels a tad harsh. He had decent games vs York and Aldershot. He's definitely still with us - he was amongst the crowd pre-kick off vs Southend. Also, regarding Lyons-Foster: isn't it usually the case that injured players go back to their parent clubs? He can't have much left on his loan now his injury is healing?

The problem overall is even our 'better' players on that injury list remain a bit unproven at this level. For most, things have moved on in the NL since they last played here, or they were let go because, presumably, they were seen as not up to it by their previous clubs. JB-W obviously made massive progress last year, as did Luque, though the latter didn't find favour at Weymouth. Wanju- Smith came from Hungerford (NLS), Cawley surplus at Bromley, though others have said, he seems to start well enough, is vocal and has a long throw. All in all though, not sure there are any knights on the injury list coming to rescue us. Hope I'm wrong though!

Knights or not, there is no question that injuries have been disruptive. The squad is weaker and there are def 3 players on the list that would be an upgrade. Alas there is no silver bullet, recruiting players now expecting them to make a difference, is to say the least 'challenging'. Hak will need to get something extra from the players we have, not easy.

Even though he's well off being back in contention, last season was almost defined by him pulling something absolutely ridiculous out of thin air, even when he did very little during the match. If he could replicate that even a handful of times, it could start turning draws into wins or losses into draws and getting points on the board. He's clearly talismanic for the club as well - the fans love him, the players love him, Hak loves him. Massive loss in the changing room and on the pitch, I'm sure.
