I though Yeovil or Woeville was fairly obvious...

Do we have two prediction threads now?? If it's good enough for Hadler vs Mersin (and vice-versa), surely it's good enough for Yeovil?

Talking of Hadler v Mersin, I think this debate will be settled on Saturday with apprence of our new No 1. Anyone who arrived early Tuesday evening would of noticed him warming up before the players came out.

I noticed someone warming up as I came in but didn't pay much attention (I actually thought it was a Southend player) - you're saying we have a new keeper??

This could actually be bad news for us. Teams often seem to galvanise after a managerial sacking.

They could appoint Tommy Cooper for all I care we need to get into them hard and fast, kick the fuckers black and blue if need be but get more goals than them and get 3 pts to kick-start the salvage operation.

If they make the appointment before Saturday it's even worse news as the players will want to impress the new man so they keep their jobs.

Unfortunately Sword with only a couple of exceptions not many of the squad are your old fashioned give-it-a-go, get-into-them, play-for-the-shirt types that you and I loved watching even in the early years back at the Gallagher, but they are different shades of millenials who are namby pamby kids who need their egos stroked and their emotions pandered to with lots and lots of clear direction from the manager to do what they should be doing naturally - or they just fanny about looking lost, going through the motions and then crying in the dressing room afterwards because the Manager doesnt love them anymore. Where a Danny Lye or a Reece Prestedge - or for those with long memories - a Dave Crush - when you need them? Sadly, long gone from the game.

When we had our success in the APL back in the 80's it was based on good football and you'll never get passed me alive attitude of our midfield and defence. Admittedly back then you didn't have refs who booked you for blowing a powder puff over like you do now. Bring back the hard men attitude of them days and we might even reach the playoffs.

Yeovil have a former Stones keeper in their squad, Grant Smith, & I think he will be in their starting line-up.
