Time for a proper non goalkeeping thread about Saturday. Looking at the predictions very few people give us a snowball in hells chance of getting anything out of this game. Although they are top of the league I think they are beatable by us but maybe Saturday is too soon for that to happen with our heads down as they are. We are 12/5 with the bookies and Chesterfield 6/7 clear favourites. The draw is 13/5.

I was looking at the odds on Chesterfield, and 10/11 on a Chesterfield win seems too good to be true. Bet on them, that way any result is a win for me!

This could be a tough one. Reminds me of our first year in the NL when we played Forest Green at home and they played us off the park to win 4-1.. Our players will give it their all I hope. We just need to find an extra 10% of energy and commitment and not make silly mistakes. You never know what might happen... they have to lose sometime?

It's another league and a half higher, much bigger challenge, but I still don't feel we are up to last season's standards.
There again, it doesn't seem that Hay is to happy about some of our displays either.
Team with decent or better still attacking players must look forward to the Stones fixture sadly.
Chesterfield are a quality team, even with Gallagher advantage I can see us easily conceding 4 goals.
At best we may just manage a couple, so a 2-4 result would not be too bad at the moment.

Tbh Ive never really felt that the 3G has given the team much advantage at all. Other than last season, our home form over a few years has been pretty ordinary to say the least. Maybe this season the Gallagher will again be a better experience. Fingers crossed.
