Never mind all that, I've just been reading that the Standard Model of particle physics may be wrong! Mind you, I've long suspeced that physicists are a bit loopy. They moan that the SM doesn't account for gravity, but we all know that gravity isn't a force, it's a warping of space-time caused by mass. Silly buggers. That's puzzled me. If gravity is caused by mass how do small bits of matter clump together to form a mass? I believe that is where the elusive Higgs Boson comes into it. Particles interacting with the Higgs Field through the Higgs Boson get slowed down and gain mass - described as "like running through treacle".

This matrix thing is a funny old game. They say there are no longer jobs for life. Well, I think you will find that there may be some of them in CERN.

Meanwhile Millennials and protest marchers awoke this morning to the realisation that on this long-awaited day, April 12th, they could do exactly whatever the f**k they wanted to, just as they have every day for the last 13 moths and long before that. But the protest marchers are going to have to protest that the new-found freedom is harming the mental health of the Millennials who like literally can't cope. Unconfirmed news that Swampy had a heart attack in his tunnel under Euston Square and has been rushed to hospital for a bypass operation.

Yeah but his mates are protesting about the possible bypass and have taken up residence in OR3 .

If gravity is caused by mass how do small bits of matter clump together to form a mass? Buggered if I can explain it, but Einstein seems to have it figured out. But you don't really have to understand it to understand its importance as a theory. Physicists have been trying to find the 'univeral theory' for years - one that explains all the forces, but no one's ever managed to get gravity to fit. But, if gravity isn't a force, then it doesn't have to fit! Einstein came up with this idea 106 years ago, so you'd think someone would have sussed it out by now. But then I failed A Level physics, so what do I know?!

And scientists did discover in the 1980/90's that E=MChammer.

Douglas Adams summed it up for me:
Space is big - mind buggeringly big.
