What makes me angriest about this government is their giving deals to their mates and protecting them - the whole cladding / Grenfell thing stinks, let alone PPE spending etc. 2nd angriest would be the way that across the world, artificial stimuli to the economy have above all made shareholders rich, and STILL they're not taxed properly (as nws in his wisdom says, the trickle down is slow to non-existent). I'd much sooner punch Cameron in the face than Johnson though - he's the one who got us into this mess. Before Swordy reminds me Cameron was an Oxfordshire MP, I'd say that Oxford has given the world a vaccine; Kent has given it a dangerous mutant strain. But enough about people from Thanet...

I want shares in NWS Dyson! Interesting perspective pigbag, thanks. Sadly there are 4 or 5 relentlessly blinkered anti-government posters on here who can't see 2 sides of an argument and might just as well copy and paste the same thing again and again as they never say anything new. I'm anti this government because the people in it are monumentally incompetent, incapable of thought and just lie, lie and lie again. Since the turn of the year we have seen Gove saying we need to renegotiate on Northern Ireland, Lewis claim Northern Ireland has the best of both worlds because it has access to the EU and UK markets, Hoey complaining about the effects of brexit on Northern Ireland. We boringly kept pointing out the problems and they ignored us shouting slogans and telling us we were static in our view. Voila! Here we are. I said July 4th (independence day) was stupid (that was the thread where you started posting about pubs you had been to), I said sending kids back to school was stupid. I said the Christmas thing was idiotic. Voila! Here we are with thousands more dead than needed to be (one of them in my family). It's boring, it's static but it's reality. If you think having a liar and a fantasist for a PM is better then... Well... And on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on...

For me it's the lying. Always the lying. Cameron was devious (IMO). Johnson is an out and out liar who should be charged with fraud or under the trading standards

QED really, as you come up with another post that nobody will ever read because it's long, rambling and we already know the gist because you've said it 1000 times before.

I thought you didn't want politics in the football part pof the forum?! Anyway, back on topic - birds! All the bird based nicknames I could find for British football clubs - can you name the clubs? Seagulls Eagles Peacocks Magpies Robins Canaries Owls Swans Bluebirds Loons Linnets Gulls Swifts Choughs CuckoosExtra kudos if you can spot the one Scottish club (the Scots don't seem to like bird nicknames - even the one I found I'm not sure is actually meant to be bird-related). And extra points if you know what a chough is or how it's pronounced! There are an awful lot of clubs who use the same nicknames (especially robins, magpies, eagles, and even linnets!), so there are multiple correct answers. You missed the Bantams. Choughs are members of the Crow family & are found in Cornwall. They featured on one of Rick Stein's Cornish programs a couple of weeks ago.
Good spot! I've added them to the list: Seagulls Eagles Peacocks Magpies Robins Canaries Owls Swans Bluebirds Loons Linnets Gulls Swifts Choughs Cuckoos Bantams

It had genuinely never occurred to me that Brentford (& Barnet, for that matter) might be called the Bees because it was the first letter of their name! I remember QPR being called "The Rs" which seems funnier to me now as a "grown" man than it did as a kid (up the Rs etc...)

Well with no football to discuss I thought we might have some entertainment baiting NWS. It never fails.
On a different tack, why are politicians like bananas? They start off being green After a while they turn yellow You will never find a straight one - they are all bent.
