Why has this thread been revived on here. There's a perfectly good replacement in the non stones topic.

No shit Sherlock - who would have predicted?
It's a shame the message only reached 48%. Now we are all taking snake oil
IMHO it was complacency on the part of regular people (myself included) that did not believe there could be so many people taken in by the snake oil salesmen (AKA EU off-shore tax dodgers that was to end in 2020) and so did not vote.
The day after the vote as the results were being announced was one of my most embarrasing days at the office in HK, meeting at the Airport authority, lunch with a mainland Chinese friend and back to the office and everyone pointing, laughing and saying how could my fellow Brits be so stupid.

I wasn't surprised. You just had to listen to people talking non-stop about there being 'too many foreigners' in the lead up to the referendum. It was everywhere. They can pretend what they like but the thing that really swung it was that. Now we have people coming in boats in droves and staff shortages.

Williamson the first resignation of the Sunak government and the only surprise seems to be he went of his own volition. Always wondered what he had on Bojo to survive before, but now we know he is a nasty bastard, so maybe that is why. How on earth did he get the knighthood though? Good riddance to bad rubbish I say. Booted out for treason and incompetence. Now this. Beggars belief.

I posted the Williamson thing on the other thread, so how come it ends up here? Not difficult to visit the non MU section and many of us do to go on the music thread.

Probably the same reason my stuff ended up over there. Many people don't use the section you point me towards, as was confirmed to me in the journey up on Saturday and while they don't reply, they do enjoy reading. I'm just catering for both sets of people. Win/win

I see we have just given another £8m to the French to control our borders. That's over £60m,or, using vote leave maths, £2m a week.
We could spend that on the NHS!

A subtle change from politics then... Do ambulance workers need to strike when they spend much of each day queuing outside their hospitals? Actually, restless of cost, the Nation owes so many workers, who put in massive service during Covid. Can't afford though because of all the billions wasted on spurious PPE deals.
