We looked a better team than Chelmsford today and walked away with nothing. So onto next Saturday with desire to get 3 points Forget about penalties, Hak just needs to tell the ref before the match to play on for any fouls in the box. More chance of scoring from open play

Not too surprised about Muldoon, an over-rated player imo As for this afternoon, Stones have got a very attack minded line-up. On a cold, damp and blustery afternoon, has Hak called it right ? Looks a little lightweight in midfield to me, so fingers crossed. Forecast - Whoever scores first to win ! See this forecast swordy ? That's the way to do it !

If we'd scored the penalties I would have been right.

I favour the Julian Dicks' approach to pens. Nothing fancy, don't worry about the keeper or placing it, just hit it as hard as you can. Most keepers dive, most of the time, but even if they get to it, it goes in. In all the time Dicks was in the team, I never saw him miss a pen or have one saved.
Place it, and, if you play safe, the keeper has a 50/50 chance of stopping it, but if you play clever, you risk hitting the post or bar, or missing altogether. Just whack it in.
Having said all that, I missed the only pen I ever took...

And, whilst we were being humiliated by Chelmsford, Fleet went above us in the table by beating 2nd placed, previously unbeaten, favourites to go up, Hungerford Town - with the winning goal scored by Bobby-Joe Taylor...

And Tonbridge reached R1 of the FA cup by beating Taunton 5-0 with Ben Greenaugh getting 2 and Alex Akrofi notching 1.

"Words fail me" Oliver tweets but unable to express how he feels after the team miss 2 penalties at Chelmsford and lose by the odd goal.

Bad, bad result but not a bad performance from the lads, penalties aside. Not too much being said about the penalty we conceded, but it looked very soft to me. Still think there is plenty of talent and attitude in this squad to easily achieve play offs.

Surprised Hak spent so much time bemoaning the ref for their penalty when the ref gave us two. Hak needs to address the mental block we have re spotkicks.

Well it was a soft penalty for Chelmsford. Hak's thinking is "we win together, we lose together", so no point in highlighting individual failings which are blindingly obvious anyhow. I somehow doubt that the coaching team will overlook our penalty failings.

But happy to criticise what he views as individual failings of a match official. Good deflection tactics when we all know why we lost the match. Nothing to do with the referee. Well played Mr Worgan by the way.. still a legend.

Happy to ctitise the failings of a referee ? Gosh that must mmake Hak pretty unique. I mean its not as if all managers do that nearly all the time.

With ten men again JDL. BJT was exceptional, I can see why you all liked him so much. As for yourselves, pens must be made to count, sounds like three points dropped to me. It happens to the best of us, you just hope it doesn't come back to haunt you at the end of the season. Best of luck next week.

Well played Mr Worgan by the way.. still a legend. Probably doesn't want to call out the team in public, but in that locker room I'm sure he will be calling the players out, as was heard when passing the locker room after the wimborne game. How many times have you seen a premier league team played off the park and their manager blame the officials in their post match interview. We had a manager before who called the players out in public and it all went to shit, or have you forgotten ol harry??
