The good news that came out of Bill's bulletin is that our sponsors are dishing out some dough to keep the club afloat throug these rough seas. These companies could quite easily have pulled the plug in the current crisis.

But are all our sponsors signing up again ? Doubtful I would think, most businesses are having to cut costs right now. The club is trying to get as much dosh as it can up front, just to get things going, but more now probably means less later. I wish I could share sword's optimism.

Seems like there has been severe cost cutting going on at the Gallagher. Wonder what the playing team bill is like compared to say 2/3 seasons ago ? Judging by reports it is probably at least 1/3 lower with a reduced squad and top wages well down on where they once were. Means the club will be cutting its cloth to suit and quite rightly. Sadly, it also means that the chances of a promotion chasing squad being created are probably down the plughole for this season at least. It should mean less pressure on Hak for a play off position. But who knows, stranger things have happened.

Have no expectations whatsoever for this season. Anything above mid table a result, but plenty of home wins please, especially if away games not possible. Pleasantly surprised by the highlights, as posts seem to indicate we'd lost at first. Took our goals well, but the two conceded looked soft to say the least. Agree with Hak that the result is less important that the performance in these games.

You are probably right but I feel if 50% stay on board through this season then we would have had a result. As for optimism, well I get moaned at for being negative and now people think I am too optimistic ,just what is an old fart to do?

" Just 475 Season tickets sold..."?? Under the current circumstance - not knowing if the season will even go ahead, let alone complete, no seats, possible death by Covid, thin crowds, no away support, second-rate players, league probably dominated by three or four externally funded teams - I think 475 hardy souls prepared to do their bit towards funding their club is pretty good. A lot of clubs at our level struggle even to get that many through the gate in normal times!

I think season ticket sales will go up once we know the season is going to start.

And once people, particularly those with infirmities, know they can buy a seat for the season.

Watched the highlights and thought the first Bromley goal was Boris Johnson's fault, but watched it again and I reckon Dominic Cummings was to blame. Second goal Donald Trump definitely culpable.
Sorry, wrong thread.

I see Bromley have decided not to sell season tickets.
