Proposed cap for NL & NLS / NLN, per a credible source on twitter:
' A group of around 12 National League clubs are proposing a salary cap.
They want annual limits of:
£900,000 for the National League
£600,000 for the National North/South
The working group hope the limit will be introduced via a vote at the League AGM in August. '
Seems a great ( and overdue ) idea ?

Internet on overdrive at the moment, another really interesting tweet from Ollie Bayliss:
' To put the proposed National League salary cap into context:
I understand these are the average playing budgets from the 18/19 season (there's no figures for 19/20)
National £758k/£659k
National North £304k/£262k
National South £240k/£213k
(mean average/median average) '
Man alive, that's why jumping from Nat South to National is difficult, look at the x 2 1/2 budgets ! Also, why is North higher than South, intuitively you might expect the reverse ?

Bigger clubs in NLN. Maybe clubs stuck in NLN which used to be bigger, and are still paying out higher wages in a vain attempt to get back up to NL. Goodness me, for each failed promotion year it must get squeakier and squeakier for them !

OK, better than the NS (only DH got over 2,000), but hardly big.

Incidentally, if you ever wanted to do a NN/NS attendance comparison, here it is:
Clubs over 2k: NS 1 NN 3
Clubs 1-2k: NS 6 NN 7
Av att: NS 855 NN 1,067 - NN +25%
Coz of all the big clubs...
