Whilst covid 19 is rightly dominating threads and posts there has been a little matter of our finances that have been made public. Relegation, multiple managers ,an increase in budget of 15% and falling attendances all added up to £9000 profit. This is good news as it's a 7th profitable year in a row but 9 grand isnt a lot. With attendances down again this year and loss of income because of this damnedvirus one can only predict a massive loss this season.

I hope we are robust enough to survive.
Obviously, the bigger budgeted clubs are going to be in some danger here.
All will make a loss. It depends who is the most able to cope I guess.

It was always going to be much harder to make next year's figures show a surplus, however small. And that was before the current crisis. Let's hope there is a survival plan being enacted.

I wonder if the government is going to pay 80% of footballers' wages?
If so, it will be interesting when they do it for the PL - could wipe out their budget in one go!

Covering wages up to £2,500 per month is the relevant sentence you need here. As the employees of the club are unable to work currently, they are technically eligible you would think.

And the governemnt financing so-called private businesses - the U.K. has become a Socialist state It just goes to prove that, when the chips are really down, the 'market' actually doesn't work. Ultimately, for a safe and fair society, you need state overseeing and intervention.

Just an idea an probably a silly one but could the club not start selling ST for next season to generate a bit of cash into the purse, most of us will be renewing our tickets so might as well do it now to benefit them the most.

I'm not renewing my season ticket until I know there'll be a club to support!

I'm not renewing my season ticket until I know there'll be a club to support! If it meant helping the owners out during these unknown times I,d be more than happy to pay now an take a risk.
