We need a dominating CM but would miss his guile. It depends on Corne and Khan. If they come back sooner rather than later, we may be better spending his wages on the DCM. Having said that, he and Temelci are the main two players who actually play football the way it should be played. Passing, vision etc. Or maybe its a new CH we need to support George with Johnson off the pace and Knight only a good back up and Pennell who shouldn't even be here? Johnson "off the pace" ? How many matches have you watched this season ?

Calm down Harry, Johnson has been a revelation this season and one of my favourite players but against Tonbridge he was awful and like Jake Cole needs to get back to his earlier form again, that's all...……..but as we enter the "business end" of the season, sadly we can no longer wait for players to go through bad patches, that's all I'm saying

I think we need to keep hold of McClure at all costs. We have our better games when he’s in the side as he brings Ibby and others into the game. I do feel if we let one of our top goal scorers leave down to money it says a lot. At the start of the season it was said if someone good came along wed find the money and I think this would be a decent example Absolutely. It says to me that until we get some new money invested in the club we will for ever be an upper mid table NLS team. Same old argument. Paying more in wages isn't about "investment", especially in the short term. Money invested in the club that can generate a return and additional income stream that can be used for players' wages continues to be the holy grail that all clubs are after.

He made one mistake which unfortunately led to a goal.

Totally agree daveu. Johnson has had an excellent season and has proven to be a great signing. A poor mistake v Tonbridge is hardly a reason to loose faith.

Some seem to forget that Johnson has made quite a few exceptional last ditch interceptions and tackles throughout this season, that have contributed to saving/gaining quite a few points for the club, and which certainly total more then the two dropped against Tonbridge.
S--t happens. All footballers make mistakes. I once saw Messi make a mistake and loose the ball in midfield, it eventually led to conceding a goal, and nobody complained.

There's someone on the Facebook group who has a real downer on him. Can't understand it myself. He's been very good pretty much all season. As you say, even the best players make the odd mistake and he's no exception, but he does the basics really well, doesn't try to over-complicate things (unlike Pennell), and plays with bucketloads of desire and commitment. Also George looks a lot more comfortable playing alongside him.

Let's face it, the performance by the whole team was terrible in that game and to focus on that one error is to mask the fact only a couple of players came out of that performance with credit. God help us if Lewington makes a mistake - he's been terrific, but the moment he misses one I expect there will be some calling for him to go!

Not disagreeing, Nick, Johnson has had an excellent season, and was an amazing signing given where he came from, but how come he was dropped for Knight? It seems John and Hak thought that Ryan must have been at fault for more than one goal against Tonbridge and they reacted accordingly - does that mean they have lost faith in him? If so, why then isn't everyone jumping on them for dropping him like people seem to be jumping on me for suggesting the same as our managers are thinking? Of course, the ideal is for Ryan to come back next game as strong as he been all season, and I for one sincerely hope he does. Im not loosing faith, just looking to shore up a defence which hasn't been totally watertight this season, much as we all love Noah, George, Ryan and Gavin - including me!

I believe he was carrying a knock. Pretty sure Hak mentioned it in the post Havant interview.

He was injured, or so it was said in the post match interview.

Johnson has carried an injury for some weeks, but a half fit Johnson is better than a fully fit pennel any day
