Midfield really poor but why does our defence always get a free ride? The amount of free headers in the box we give away game after game is pathetic. In fact Tonbridge 2nd goal the player was free as a bird so not just free headers. As I have said previously I think Johnson and Elokobi are very overrated. Johnson is a Ryman league player along with a few others. We need to face reality that most of the managements signings have been dire. Pretty sure the 2 leading lights of Khan and Akanbi were courtesy of Ryan Gordon so not a great look.

We look like a team trying to grind out results with a depleted squad but no matter how many injuries we have I still wouldn't have Edwards anywhere near the starting 11.
It's hard to understand how a player who can't run, pass, shoot or head can get so much game time. JS has a lot of blind loyalty towards him.
Marshall showing again why he isn't a midfielder. Would love to see Khan, Corne and Temelici play when they are all fit. All have bags of energy and can interchange.
Hoof football is back at the Gallagher. Sore on the eyes but hopefully it's due to injuries rather than tactics.
Was amazing to see late in the first half us leaving one up top from their corner. If one can become two or three we may have out ball to play.

Well the only good thing I can say about today,s game was that we didn,t have to travel far to watch it. Totally dire, lacking any fresh ideas on how to out wit the opposition, defence was poor midfield just has no effort or passion in it. We were lucky to come away with a point. Lewington was again best player on the pitch.

Probably the worst performance of the season. So lacking in quality, completely outclassed by an average Tonbridge team we made look like superstars. Midfield need sorting and quickly, Temelci can play a bit but struggled today. Marshall is not a holding midfield plater, but in view of his poor tacking and weak heading, what exactly is he ? Don't get me started on Edwards. So many injuries but any more matches like this one and we are only going in one direction in the table

Edwards? Rather start with 10 men than him, he’s truly dreadful. Right at the start of the season ( Welling Away IIRC ) Edwards looked slow and leggy, and I thought, OK, maybe he needs a bit more training to get up to speed & match fit. Right now, he's at just the same level. Not good enough. Our development squad are playing good football ( apparently ), top of the league, have scored 25 goals in 11 games, some lads from there would surely do a better job ?

Hakan got asked pre match if there was any truth in the Khan rumour. He said Saidou had a niggling injury and looked up at the sky. Whatever we need him back asap along with Sam Corne.

After Dulwich I commented that I wasn't convinced by the Temelci/Marshall combo in midfield after today I'm convinced that it doesn't work! Temelci got stuck in and battled hard, found a few good passes etc but with Marshall also in the middle we lacked that extra bit of skill/creativity that turns defense into attack. Its probably stating the obvious now but today even more so than other recent games showed that we desperately need to get Saidou or Sam back asap (imho).

That Ben Greenhalgh chap had something about him... sign him up. I’ve always been a fan of Ben, I think his career has been held back at times by managers who aren’t brave enough to give him a free role. I used to argue this on here because Jay would stick him out on the wing - if he didn’t get service he would be ineffective and people would moan and call him lazy. Play him behind your main striker and let him roam and he is very dangerous. Second half he was terrific and will probably be disappointed they only got a point for his efforts. He was out on the left but they just kept giving him the ball and once he runs at you, you have a problem.

That was easily Temelci's most ineffective game for 'stone. If I was being cynical I'd say he was adjusting down to the level of players around him. Really not looking forward to going to Havant on Saturday, we'll get pulverised in defence and won't have a kick going forward.

This is simply not good enough.
I really do wonder if Still and Hak are really up for job at this club, we were clueless I think they needed to really change the game second half but just stood there with their fingers in their ass.
Out of the 16/17 players they signed over the summer about 5 of them are worthy at best.
I know the squad is a bit thin but we have the resources to patch that squad, I’m not sure if it’s worth waiting for the players to come back. This team is in dire straights in midfield for example. Marshall is a waste of space he did nothing but chase thin air. Tonbridge are a Ryman team and we were made to look to like a 11 strangers who just turned up. We should be rising above their level and put on a professional performance despite a depleted squad, this is not acceptable.
Hak and John need to get at least 4 loans it to see us through until the likes of Khan are back or we’re going to miss out on the play offs.

Agreed, he was out of sorts today and his normally reliable passing went awol.

Not defending Edwards, who I also think we are better off without, even if it means ten men, however both of Iffy Allen's two goals have come from his rebounds. Equally, they are the only things he has done in either game, other than get in the way. Embury has surely got to start? Perhaps the biggest shame, is the 2500 who have gone home less than happy, no doubt expecting better after the win over Dulwich (ok 300 Tonbridge fans who are wondering how they didn't win). As others have said, what is the point of having a development side if we don't use them in times of need like now? Can only hope Havant have a bad day on Saturday, or we could be embarrassed.
