Let's lighten the mood. Who have been the Stones players of the decade?
I will go:
1) Alex Flisher 2) Joe Pigs

Pigs was probably best player we have had in that period but was he here long enough to warrant the accolade, not sure. I would add Frannie and Worgs.

Pigs our best player by a mile. However, of those who stayed longer, then Flisher, Collin and even Mills worth a mention.

Good question, but I think there is a reality check in terms of the teams and players we have been facing.
The quality, fitness and strength of players in the National League is a world away from the old Ryman League days when Flish did so well.
Despite our struggles, I think our best players were seen in the first 2 seasons of the National League with Loza pushing very hard for the accolade (pre injury)
and what about that certain loan player Stu Lewis in the first 4 months of his joining, when he was the main man in helping keep us up.
Of course 'The Pig' probably shades it as the best of the crop.
But for my favourite player with a bit of longevity, well it has to be 'The Worgs'.

Fisher for me. Had the ability to go higher until that injury.
Can I put Tims vote in for Jay may.
Toon will be going for the Lyester

I would go for Alex Brown just for pure 100% effort every game, think Steve Watt is worth a mention maybe not the most gifted player but players like him win games with guts an determination.

Obvious answer here is Jay Saunders. Tough & competitive player at the start of the decade when skill had to be matched with a degree of toughness, and quite a useful manager after that.

Lee Worgan. Absolute stones legend, never missed a league game and still a better keeper than anyone we've had since.
