Buried deep in the article is a great quote : - ' Teams might try and kick us when they see all these { Brazilian } players, but they certainly know how to kick back ' Maybe sums up the spirit in which County League football is played ?

South Americans superstars maybe a bit unusual in non league southern circles but the northern league had a fair splattering of them in recent times as Nolbero Solano recruited a few friends and Julio Arca wa heavily involved in South Shields rise up the pyramid. Their were others but my memory fails me turning out for the likes of Morpeth, North Shields,Newcastle Benfleet and Jarrow roofing. Also Durham City was owned by Olivier Bernard though I know he is not S American.

I knew that there is a Gillingham town fc in Dorset but never knew there was one in kent too!
