Does anyone know what the situation is with Ibrahim Olutade? We signed him on a 2 year contract so must think he is a good player. He blotted his copybook at Hungerford by taking and missing a penalty. He looks big and strong with good feet - in other words a potential centre forward. Is he injured, out of favour, not fit? It is a strange one, can anyone shed any light?

Wasn't it him that JS2 said they wanted to "bring on slowly"?
and I don't think he meant 'substitute' when using 'bring on'.

Olutade is being asked to move up at least 2 levels in 2 seasons, he's still only 20, so maybe we shouldn't expect too much too soon. But given the lack of options up front it seems strange that he hasn't been given more of a run. Somebody out there must know what's going on !

He’s not going to learn or improve significantly without proper match experience ... assuming he’s good enough for step two. But nobody will know without giving him an opportunity

Why not give him some game time in the U23s side?

Why not give him some game time in the U23s side? Cos he’s come up two levels but doesn’t want to go down seven! It’s football not snakes and ladders

It’s football not snakes and ladders He was not even in the match day squad last week so why not go and get some game time and confidence in the u23. When Embury comes back he will be further down the pecking order.

He’s worth a start for the next two games. We’ve seen Akbani who works hard but still not found that elusive striker who’s going to score.
