Would love to know what Corne has been told for corners. Kick it as hard as possible?

We haven't been good at set pieces for ages. Years even. Was disappointed to see corners v Southend not only being over hit, but nobody beyond the far post to take any advantage from it. To me, this is basic common sense and either the wing back or opposite wing should be waiting beyond the far side of the goal area to knock the ball back in again if it is either overhit or flicked away by a defender. That we don't do it now, didn't last season, nor even in Jay's time I find extraordinary.

Seems we are 15th in the table after our first match, so could be much worse. Hungerford are in the relegation places so looks like an early season 6 pointer.

I also noticed that about a tenth of the advertising boards around the pitch were blank

Would love to know what Corne has been told for corners. Kick it as hard as possible? As opposed to our corners last year which were text book delightful deliveries, or the season before and the season before that. We've sucked at dead ball situations for a while now both defensively and attacking wise. I read elsewhere that three corners were over hit and one went right out, let's be honest that's still an improvement on last season or would you rather watch the shower of shit we had last year all over again?

I shall only zay ziss once !! ... We deserve nothing and got nothing !! ... Abysmal performances to follow and even if it's only the first match , I am very sorry but we are in for a long season !! ... Next match ... A Kent derby on Tuesday and we all know how well we do in these !!. Sad ! Very sad ... Now onto the waffle from J.S 2 & his merry man H.H. 🤨🙄😕 Why can't you just say nothing at all. Still a prick I see! Damn Frenchie, meerkat is one of if not the only sensible poster on here what did you do to upset them as never seen them post like that before.

We've been shit at dead ball situations for years yet you never come on here asking what those players had been told yet you seem to have it in for corne, who has played 1 competitive game for us and by all accounts it wasn't great he's still young let's give the players a chance to grow into the team, rather than bury them six feet under.

The definition of stupidity is doing basically the same wrong thing twice. Yet time and time again he came on and basically hoofed it with no direction.
You can’t refer to the previous regime, none of them were here.
Call me old fashioned but if I have a player who in 45 minutes showed enough of himself at set pieces he was awful I wouldn’t play him again.

The definition of stupidity is turning up to a Maidstone game and expecting improvements 😉😉😉

So by your logic, if you have someone who’s applied themself and failed at every hurdle they are still worth a go?

Unbelievable the hysterical comments on here brand new side not anything like settled that showed some good moments and will no doubt improve over the coming weeks that more than held their own for large parts against an extremely well drilled and competitive Weymouth side that had won their league and are a very settled side.
Some need to get a grip expecting to bash everyone from the get go are deluded. We will improve from here and we weren't even as bad as has been made out on here. They are better than last season's offering. This side could be a force this season. They need time that's all and support. Writing them off before they have had a proper chance to show what they can do is insane. Judge them end of September.
What a sad bunch of worry-alls
