Lovely.
But who is the other candidate possibly to be "relegated for financial shitgibbonry" (after Gateshaed)?

Pure joy. Just like the EE when we scored. Both times.

Cozy - a great drummer, however not a patch on van der Linden for solos. Still amazing at 73.

the thing about PP's outlandish rumours from dubious sources is that they normally turn out to be true or at least very close
I suspect the real truth behind "a member of the H&W crew allegedly looked at a small pool of water on his seat, allegedly looked disgusted"
is when the H&W crew member realised that the damp patch wasn't caused by water at all !

Sorry, Nick, but I have to ask - do you deliberately insert a blank line between each line of text, or are you using some weird version of Proboards?

I would rather see text broken up into logical chunks (sentences).
On a message board it makes for much easier reading.
Some just post more verbiage than others and could benefit from a little editing.

Reliable source says the gantry is exposed and that all the seats in the front row get wet. Under normal circumstances you tip the seat up, pour away the water and use the paper to dry it. Then you enjoy the view and feel glad to be there, because you're a guest of the club. Our source says that most people realise this is still non-league and are very polite.

If by 'gantry' you mean the two rows behnd the barrier at the top of the main stand, where the posh people sit, I don't understand how they can get wet - we sit two rows in front of them, and we never get any rain at all.

Isn't the gantry the scaffolding platform where the media sit? Yes. And it gets wet. Ah! I missed the "crew member" bit, I assumed it was one of the board members/hangers on. It's about time the club gave you journos a better place to sit. Perhaps you'll get a 'media box' when the riverside stand is built? Then we can charge Boreham Wood TV (if such exists) a small fortune to use it...
