Who would have more chance of keeping up the Stones this season? The current players, our 2015 Ryman Premier winners or our team at the end of 2017? The squads for 2015 and 2017 listed below, oh for some of those players to be available to us now! How many of our current squad actually get in the starting XI for those teams?
2015 Lee Worgan Craig Stone Tom Mills Steve Watt Shane Huke Jack Parkinson Matt Bodkin James Rogers Jay May Frannie Collin Alex Flisher
Subs Aaron Simpson Sonny Miles Jamie Coyle Alex Brown Jack Paxman Ben Greenhalgh George Porter Billy Bricknell
2017 Lee Worgan Seth Twumasi Joe Anderson Alex Finney Alex Wynter Reece Prestedge Stuart Lewis Jai Reason Jamar Loza Joe Pigott Zavon Hines
Subs Josh Hare Magnus Okuonghae Ollie Muldoon Jack Paxman Tom Wraight Jack Richards Delano Sam-Yorke Aaron Collins

I saw him more of a Hines equivalent, and, much as I hate to say it, I rate Hines higher (at his best, at least). And, in his defence, the Loza of that time was a different player to the one of more recent times.

Of our current squad I would keep Turgott,Cassidy and Phillips but all 3 will doubtless be off to pastures new in the summer. I would also retain Jack Richards as we need someone experienced on the bench .

I'm afraid the irony of our situation (or one of the many ironies) is that anyone good enough for us to want to keep will be too good to stay.

But I don't think that will bother JS too much - I suspect he'd be much happier building a team of his own from scratch.

I think that our performances under HH and JS show that our real problem this season has been the playing staff!! Saunders has won a lot of games as a manager, the Clown has won a shed load of games and continues to do so back at Ricay and our current managers have got a fair few wins in their time.
The best managers in the world can’t make a player want the ball or give them the ability to pass the it 5 yards!
The squad is unbalanced and we have more than our usual injuries this season. Too many managers trying to use too many different ways to plug gaps. Faith in HH and JS with a new squad for next season. With wages apparently so much lower in the NLS we will have much more options for players. Looking on the bright side at least no one will miss this squad like they did when players like Flish and Millsy left!

Just watched HH interview. So normal manager politics for a post match interview after a loss. Injuries are not good, but other than WDH would anyone else have made the starting 11 last night..? A squad full of average playing below par again.

Coaching staff have to take some blame here. Man up and be honest. Good coaches can put 16 year olds into a team and make it work, so surely our coaches can at least get this team trying to play some football.

It’s been noted that our players have gone very quiet on Twitter! None of the #InThisTogther crap and “stick with us 💛🖤” bullshit! They must be aware the responses would be less than friendly

Sold ? Seriously ? Most National League signings are freebies and below this league it is 99%. The fact is we would not be able to give away most of our playing staff. Less than a handful would interest half decent clubs and the others are just on too expensive contracts to move in to the lower leagues. So we are well and truly lumbered.

If we'd put out a squad of 16 year olds last night 3-0 would have seemed like a glorious dream. If the players aren't good enough no coach in the world will make them consistently better. You might be able to get the odd above par performance from them as Saturday clearly demonstrated, but to do it game after game the ability has to be in there somewhere.
