Terry stated we have roughly the 16th highest budget in the National league, but would like us to be pushing for playoffs 🤔 He said should we be religated we would have 3 times the budget of any team in the National South and would expect us to win that league the first time of asking! I assume that Bill and Ricay are not expected to be there or they truly have tightened their purse strings It does show the vast difference in the two leagues tho Annoyingly I forgot to tune in tonight. Did Terry say anything else worthy of note ? Surely something about the prospect of a new management appointment ? One thing is clear, if we are paying wages at the lower end of the league (not average as some of us thought), then the only way to survive let alone prosper is to have an outstanding manager.

A smaller budget ! OMG. We need a magician not a manager. Sounds like to me that they are unwilling to finance a club that has no chance of going up. Let's face it we cannot compete with the big boys and there is no way they are going to give up 3G as it earns too much money. It sounds like they are happy to just survive year on year but i have news for them its not going to happen this year unless our new manager is called Dynamo. If or when we go down and they cut tbe budget i would like to draw your attention to York City who are reported to have a huge budget and yet could get relegated again. I don’t get it. Are people ignoring the comment about budget being 3 times the size of all other clubs in the south? How is this giving up???

Says it should be enough to come straight back up didn't Braintree do that, now let's see where are they in the league this year. Looks like we could be a yoyo club for a few years.

What are the reasons for the reduced budget? Did Wheeler get more than he should have or are there other reasons? Sounds like they have accepted relegation is inevitable this season and that the NLP has proved to be a step too far. Unfortunately, compared to the other premier Division, there are no parachute payments if you get relegated, but my initial reaction is that a season in the NLS currently feels preferable to another season of misery like this one. Indeed, as long as we don't go into freefall, even two or three seasons wouldn't be so bad. May feel differently tomorrow though.

I've never believed 3G brings in that much. 5th highest attendance, 16th highest budget. What are we spending money on that others aren't?

No questions or comments about new players that I can remember, but new manager or confirmation of current ones with a year and a half contract to be announced next week.

The impression I got was that as a club as we are with the money and business plan we have its either dominate the National South or struggle in the National premier! Anything above that would take a very good manager and a load of luck. League football is a distant fantasy. Staying up this year is equally so!

2 relegations under tel and ollie's tenure will be very disappointing. It just appears that they lack the ambition to move the club to the next level and perhaps it's time to look a bit harder for new investment. Success on the pitch is the biggest key to the clubs wellbeing.

Always though league football was a long way off, bit did think we could consolidate in the NLP. However, even in the last two years, the dynamics of this league have changed and only those with lots of money can survive long term now.

I've never believed 3G brings in that much. 5th highest attendance, 16th highest budget. What are we spending money on that others aren't? I believe the figure of £500,000 a year from the pitch has been stated in the past! I know the club take £280 in 40 mins on a Monday night for the vets league splitting the pitch into 4 and charging £35 a team. That’s 8 teams and they play at least two session. That kind of money is made on several nights a week. I also believe it’s about £250 to rent the whole pitch for a proper 11 aside game. It’s easy to see how it adds up. Terry also said if we don’t have the money for a striker we don’t get one. If the business does not pay for it we don’t splash the cash.

Terry and Oliver has always been open about their ability to only finance the club to National League level. Pretty sure they have looked at options to expand the breadth of club ownership. Surprisingly, people with a few million to spare and don't care about investment returns are hard to find. Still think the club is in great hands. Only a very slim chance of avoiding relegation this season with the last throw of the dice being a new manager appointment to see the season out. I'm guessing it won't be Jay and it won't be Simon/Tristan. Much more likely to have a cv that fits their original person spec.
