Think we are bit tasty now. Think Finney will be off next. That’ll be Saunders ghost to rest. Finally Harry’s team and a decent team at that. We outclassed Wrexham. Onwards and upwards. COYS

Happy with that performance against a good Wrexham team. We look strong and composed at the back with Wrexham playing well enough but creating very few chances and relying on a lucky deflected goal. It happens. A draw was a fair result. Getting better to watch too which is a bit of a bonus. Well done Simon Walton. What a cracker. Current form looking like a decent mid table team.

If anything it felt like we dropped two points today which is a nice change. Totally at ease against a team pushing for promotion. Think HW is closing in on getting the team to play his way got all the makings of a good solid NL team.

I think the whole team played really well, I thought Walton’s goal was true class and to be honest it looked like it was going wide but the bend on it was simply world class, I very happy with McLennan as well who played really well, could have been 3 points if it wasn’t for their deflected shot, onwards and upwards

Lucky, lucky Wrexham. We may look back on this game as the one where Harry's team came of age. Early on, I feared for us against a fast, mobile side, but we grew into the game, even though playing against at least 12, as usual. Second half we really stated to dominate and Wrexham began making mistakes. No surprise when we scored, but what a cracking shot from Simon Weston and much deserved for a decent performance. Indeed, with Paxman and Turgott well shackled, it was Cassidy and Romain who provided most of the threats. The back four were superb, with McClelland really growing into the role of left back. Then, out of nothing, Wrexham score via as outrageous a deflection as you'll ever see. The shot was going nearer to the corner flag than the goal... Credit to the whole team for keeping their heads up, as we pretty much still controlled the rest of the game, with Wrexham the ones happy with the point. A genuinely good game, with both sides playing football and a pleasure to watch. Shame we didn't win, but if this represents progress, then we should start moving up the table soon.

Don,t think Harry has signed Simon Weston yet, but nothing would surprise me.

I remember pointing out when he joined us, and Harry started him off in central defence, that he had an excellent scoring record in the Championship for the likes of Leeds, Ipswich and Plymouth - in a team that struggles to score goals, we need him in positions where he is able to get forward and help the attack. He's had a broken leg and serious ligament injuries in his career that turned him into a bit of a non-league journeyman of late, but class is permanent. As he plays more and more full games I think we'll see that class coming through. Terrific today and deserved to win for sure.

And playing quite well. Cassidy, the back four and Romain stand out so far, but easy to see why Wrexham are top. A bit like watching Macc or BW from last season and, whisper it quietly, we are playing football too. The ref has already disgraced himself for three shite decisions inside two minutes, including booking Phillips for a clean tackle that was nowhere near their player. Fodrup looks tricky, but knows how to cheat too, while Turgott and Paxman not getting a look in. 0-0 would still be a good result, but we came more and more into it as the half wore on. Still not win at home in the league since Barrow,in August, remember. Personally, I think Philips tackle was not a good one, as he jumped in. I thought the ref was spot on with the booking.

I thought we played really well today against a very good, confident Wrexham side. While their goal cheesed me off you would have to say that 1-1 was probably fair. It was pleasing to see us be able to defend so well, especially first half and then go on to take the game to them for the early part of the second half. Walton's goal...what a fizzler!

Would of happily taken a draw before the game but on reflection that's 2 points dropped. We looked solid in the first half and really impressive in the second.
Man of the match for me was Paxman. He is really starting to show his potential and looks as though Harry has a lot of faith in him.
Wonder goal from Walton, standing behind the goal you could see that going in the moment it left his boot.

A couple of earlier posts complimented McLennan on his performance at FB today. I agree he played well. Pleased that he has turned the corner and is now delivery quality football consistently.

Thought the first 20 mins we struggled to get in the game, and glad that we managed to go in at HT level. Big difference maker was on 55 mins when we went with 3 centre back allowing Mclennan to make the overlapping runs with Turgott. Good we have a manager that can make that sort of change as the game dictates, and not just sub like for like. Thought Mclennan was outstanding and my MOM.

Have to disagree,I was standing about 5 yards away, with the tackle between me and the referee. Everyone around agreed Phillips did nothing wrong. He got the ball and was nowhere near their player, who was not in any way complaining. It was not a foul, so could neither be a booking. The ref then bottled the next two decisions as well.
