The Stone is an interesting sight today. Full of people seemingly off to a fancy dress party dressed as DaveU.

And bloody noisy they are too! Usually manage to miss the whole sorry embarrassment, but last year we flew out a week late and 'enjoyed' the whole thing - you could hear it clearly from the prison end of Holland Road!

It's a phenomenon, I live a tee shot away from it but can never hear it, yet - in the opposite direction - the noise in the centre of Bearsted and Downswood is, well, noisy.

Embarrassment? It's becoming one of the best festivals in the UK. Fantastic publicity for the town and one of the few things that shows us nationally and internationally in a good light. |
