'ricay won't pick up any points tonight as Leiston is under water: KentishFootball @kentishfootie 9m 9 minutes ago More GAME OFF: Leiston v Margate - Match postponed due to a waterlogged pitch You mean Margate! Pity though, it would have been nice to see Gate at the top, if only briefly. (Can't believe I actually wrote that!)

Jesus. You almost couldn't make that up. No wonder their form has dipped so badly over the last few weeks. I can't see how this can be resolved , certainly not quickly enough to stop DH going down the tubes anyway. The phrase "nearby Peckham" made me smile though. I wonder how many Dulwich residents think of Peckham as "nearby"?!

On firmer ground, a further Dulwich update involving Rio ? Jesus. You almost couldn't make that up. No wonder their form has dipped so badly over the last few weeks. I always imagined Rio to be a bit of a t**t, but if he rode to the rescue of Hamlet that would be quite something........ If Meadow are refusing to sell to someone offering more than the land is worth, it's hard to see where there is any hope for them. This looks like sour grapes by the developers because the council refused to tear up their planning regulations. A case of "you won't let us do what we want so we're gonna destroy your local football club". Hard to see any other explanation considering Ferdinand offered them more than double what they paid for the land.

I always imagined Rio to be a bit of a t**t, but if he rode to the rescue of Hamlet that would be quite something........ I was a West Ham regular when he came up through the youth team and started in the first team (he made his first team debut alongside Frank Bastard Lampard, as a double substitution), and my impression of him was that he wasn't at the front of the queue when brains (or common sense) were being handed out, but he was honest and likeable. He was a great favourite of the fans - far more so than just for his football abilities. On his first game at Upton Park after being sold to Leeds he scored and didn't celebrate - there was a long pause while the enormity of what he'd done sank in and then a huge smile as the entire stadium applauded! For me, it's moments like that that are football - loyalty and passion and commitment and being part of something. Compare that to how Lampard behaved when he left. It's worth reading his autobiography. OK, so it's ghost written, but it still reads like it's the genuine Rio. Although it's about his life, it's mostly about the effect of his wife dying early, and leaving him looking after the kids. All he's ever done is his life is football, everything else has been done for him, and all of the sudden he's lost the most important person in his life and found himself a single dad with young kids. It's an excellent read, both moving and thought provoking.

Lampard had every right to react the way he did after the disgraceful shit the fans gave him when he left. They gave him "the disgraceful shit" because of how he behaved! He couldn't wait to get away, posed in his new Chelsea strip before the transfer was announced, bad mouthed the club, acted like a total prick - and got everything he deserved.

It seems that Meadow's intention all along has been to force the club out of business. Hopefully they can find a way to carry on, maybe with a ground share, and in the meantime, Meadow go bust and the ground reverts to the local council who then lease it back to the club at a peppercorn rent.
Yeah OK! and pigs might fly.

Don't quite understand how this works, but apparently Dulwich can no longer call themselves Dulwich Hamlet, The Hamlet, DHFC etc. ( Landlord - Greendales - has the rights over the use of names as trademarks ). See pinned tweet @ twitter.com/DulwichHamletFCThe fact that Hamlet are currently 0 - 1 down at Billericay seems quite incidental. Crowd only 988 ............................

GET IN, Dulwich equalise just before H / Time. 1 - 1 1 - 2 Dulwich. 83 minutes 17 minutes of added time ( currently still 1 - 2 Hamlet ) Now 1 - 3, Goal from Clunis in injury time. F/Time 1 - 3 ' Club with no name beats club with no shame ' - brilliant tweet from a Hamlet fan
