Not quite sure what to make of this: www.claptonultras.org/2016/11/22/not-stag-party-venue/ Long story short, indie pop singer Frank Turner goes to see Clapton on a friends stag do and tweets about it. As far as I can tell, nothing more nothing less. Clapton take offence to this and go on a long rant. Less 'Football for all' and more 'Football for all, but only if we say so...' Massively poncy response for a supposedly open minded club and fan base. |

Thought they were meant to be one of these so-called inclusive hipster clubs. Seems the hipster left is no more tolerant than the ultra conservative right. Massively over the top reaction to a bloke turning up to a football match for a mate's stag do. Since when has football become a vehicle for socio-political division. Wankers!

If Maidstone raised prices by £1 because they needed the income, the one thing I wouldn't do is stand on the riverside bridge then donate the money to someone else. If they have money for smoke bombs, they have money to support their club. My football budget includes fares, beer, programme, food etc. £1 won't make much difference to that.

I saw this the other day and meant to post. I think it says a lot that there's a bar onsite and they sneak their own drinks in as well. It's strange to call yourself an ultra and then not genuinely support the club. The whole £1 price rise is ridiculous - I'm all for fans being heard and football being kept cheap, but this is beyond petty. If they go up a league there'll be nobody there when they have to pay £10 a game... |

Clapton look to be in a spot of bother with debts. Went into liquidation recently but have rallied together to halt everything by raising seven grand www.claptonfc.info/ |

You'd never want a club to go into liquidation, but if it did, it wouldn't be these idiots that I'd be sad for.
