Lost again today Worthing 2-1 Doncha just love football? Club that spent most of season at the bottom and couldn't play at home because they fucked up their pitch beats 'dead cert' for championship! I wonder if Tamplin will sack himself again?

Sure I read there was only 900 odd there for the DH clash. What's that about? Even the fans it seems don't want to be there . I'm sure they'll pull it round and get up automatically with those games in hand, obviously good enough players there who can make that happen. But they gotta want to pull it round . I suspect 'wanting it' could be a big thing in what's happening at billericay at the moment

I suspect 'wanting it' could be a big thing in what's happening at billericay at the moment They are actually on a FOUR game losing run at the moment - I bet Tamplin never thought that would happen! Their gates are very volatile - from just under 550 to almost 2,000, with an average of 1,129 (incidentally, comfortably beaten by Hamlet for every one of those figures). So it's hard to read too much into a particular attendance. Although for a 'top of the table clash', even midweek and on a poor run, you'd surely expect something closer to their largest gate, than their smallest. I would imagine DH took a fair few with them too, so actual Ricay fans were probably less than 800. If that's the effect of not winning for just 4 games, I wonder what a 17 game winless run would do to their gates!

Whatever you think about Tamplin, even their lowest crowds are several hundred more than they were getting before he arrived. Ok there's bound to be some glory hunters, but some of those new fans will stick around when he's gone. Unless he expects his money back he'll leave them stronger than he found them.

Like Thompson did for us? Not sure that Tamplin is saddling Billericay with huge amounts of debt. Thompson was very good at spending money he didn't have. I haven't seen or heard anything that indicates Tamplin is spending anything other than his own money.

Ricccaaay's run in gets ever more congested, 16 games still to play in 6 or 7 weeks, and their game at Longmead tonight is now off. They play Dorking on Thursday, at least this gives them a temporary breather

Tamplin, Tamplin, what's the score?
5 points off the top, 5 games in hand - still comfortable, but those games in hand are gradually being used up.
And away at 6th placed Hendon on Saturday - what can possibly go wrong...

Well, the money paid off - just.
Bit embarrassing though, that you spunk that amount of money on a team and nearly lose the championship to a side with no money and no ground.
Bad night for Margate tonight too - they need to win their remaining game by at least 4 goals and hope Leiston lose by almost as many just to get into the playoffs. And their final game is... Dulwich! Sad end to the season for them, but what a cracking first season for Stevie Watt.

Knocked out of the Cup tonight - lost 1-3 at home to Chesterfield.
Drew their last two away games, and two out of the last 4 at home.
On current form (last 4 games), they are down to 10th, with 6 points out of a possible 24 - 4 points behind an out of form Woking (who are one of only two teams to beat them this season).
Still 2nd, and looking pretty certain to qualify for the play-offs at least, but there's a lot of competition at the top of the NS this year (6 teams within 3 points of Ricay), so promotion far from certain.
Wheels not starting to come off, but this can't be exactly what Tamplin had in mind when he sacked Harry...
