[one for the oldies, probably]...
Just thinking of teams we've played in the league or in cups, whose fortunes have changed since.
My first game watching the Stones was a Southern League game v Guildford & Dorking in the mid-70s - this unlikely alliance only lasted about 3 seasons! Separated clubs both in Combined Counties now.
My first game watching the "new Stones" was v Thames Poly (KCL) - they seem to have stopped playing in about 2003.
Of Kent League opposition, Slade Green no longer exist. A few are now up in the Ryman. Wasn't it great when we finally got a season where we had to play none of Cray, VCD or Thamesmead.
Burnham who beat us in the Trophy (?) (orgasmic cries from one of their female fans) now down in the Hellenic and have lost 5/5 this season.
Abingdon U now Hellenic W.
Andover folded.
Broxbourne folded twice!
Peacehaven and Telscombe now 4 leagues below us.
Newport IOW a league lower than when we met them in our "overseas" Cup tie.
Redbridge were in the Conf S when we beat them in the Cup. Now 3 levels lower at Essex Senior.
Carterton (Vase) look likely to fold this season, already cancelled 2 fixtures.
Bedford 2 levels lower than when we beat them in the Trophy 4 years ago.
Walton and Hersham, our first league opponents at the Gallagher, also now 2 levels lower.
AFC Wimbledon (Ryman Prem) - one of only a few upwardly mobile ex-opponents! Dover and Dartford would be 2 others I guess.

More recently, I'm mystified by Dulwich Hamlet's apparent inability to win promotion, despite large attendances and a huge pool of available players.

What's more, they've had a distinctly average start this year and are looking not much more than a mid-table side at the moment. Be interesting to see how many of their new found hipster support stick around if things don't improve.

All depends on what happens with the Ground development - latest proposal from 'the Hadley Property Group' I believe. By running U16, U18's etc. they do provide a great outlet for the youth of that part of London. www.championhillstadium.org.uk/content/our-proposals

Try this motley crew: Hawkenbury, Aylesford, Belvedere, Old Bexleians, plus reserve sides from Greenways, Lordswood, Scott Sports & Social, Stansfeld O & B , VCD, Sevenoaks Town, Otford United & Westerham.
All on the start line with Maidstone Invicta for the 1993 / 94 KCL Division 4 West Season - effectively the first one for the 'new' incarnation.
The survival rate here is quite good amongst the 'larger' teams fielding reserve sides in this division.
