We're with Ecotricity and they've just whacked our bill up 6%. I am effectively funding FGR's bloody promotion!!

Don't worry - next year you can fund their ground improvements, playing squad salaries, etc etc

Got round to watching the NL highlights on the train home from Sutton. How on Earth is Ricky Miller of Dover not higher up the leagues, or at the very least at one of the bigger NL clubs??
27 years old and scored 38 in 60 games for Dover (Now higher after putting 4 past Braintree...)

There's no doubt Dover are a decent team, but Miller is their talisman for sure. Be interesting to see how they'd do without him...

Presumably Rovers can offer him a decent rise, plus a much better crack at being in a championship team and playing in the FL than if he stays at Dover. But, there's no guarantee they'll keep him if he helps take them up and maybe he likes it at Dover, and would rather be a big fish in a medium sized pond? If this were one of ours (say Flish) - how would we feel, what would he do/feel?

Miller is out of contract next summer So he will be off some point soon or walk for a free next July.....If Dover have any sense they should take the highest bid they can get before he ends up walking and they get nothing As for Flisher, if he hadn't got that terrible injury he wouldn't be here now. Its pretty well known that quite a few league clubs were looking at signing him before that dreaded injury

Dover if they want the playoffs again will need to keep hold . FG Don't want the playoffs again and probably see him as the player to help them win the league. Dover will keep him for as long as they are in the FA cup , they know how much a 3rd tie V a Prem club pays,I read they made well over half a mill for getting to the 3rd round with all the extras .... I'd doubt he's going anywhere yet . But one way or another,Dover have a pay day coming .
The comment about if this is one of ours, Is not applicable. Worgs has turned down many a league club over the years ,and good money offers from smaller clubs . Flish pre injury was probably off at the end of the season . BJT and Pax show signs, of real quality but are far to inconsistent. If the new guy lozar keeps up his form we will be hard pushed to keep him at the end of the season .

Dover are bloody stupid if they turn down 100k plus for a player who can walk for free next summer

I think he's fairly happy where he is at the moment at least. Most players are also aware that things don't always go the way everyone would like when you change clubs. But I think Dover will also be talking to him and offer him a package to sign a contract extension.....and a promise not to stand in his way if the right offer comes along. That way the club and the player both stand to gain ..... and it still wouldn't deter the likes of FGR or bigger clubs too

They won't turn it down but it won't happen yet . 100k is peanuts up against what they got for a 3rd tie with TV money and a packed crabble.
Jim will get a bidding/interest war going like he did with burchall between ,Jills and Swindon.
