Seems a bit of a harsh fine. It's unlikely he won it all in one go so not much chance he still has the money to pay the fine. OK he broke the rules but there was no suggestion if match fixing, so to effectively end his playing career seems somewhat draconian.

Rules is rules, whether he won the bets or not.

Rules is rules, whether he won the bets or not. The rules don't set the level of the fine. Nor do they say that you should pay back everything you've won. All this does is show where the FA's power lies. As usual pick on the small fry because they don't have the guts to address the real issues that are ruining the game in this country.

I agree Dave. Think the Ryman League are heading for yet another end of season fiasco. If ET win the league, and they must be favorites, they will be promoted to National South and yet they have the worst ground in the Ryman without exception. God knows what next years opponents will think of it!

Dulwich and Tonbridge both dropping off the pace after decent starts.

Bognor with games in hand galore and showing no signs of letting up, would like to see them come up with the Hamlet.

Also come out that in games he played he actually bet against his own team Thats match fixing...well done to the FA for throwing the book at him

Also come out that in games he played he actually bet against his own team Thats match fixing...well done to the FA for throwing the book at him Why is it match fixing? Its match fixing in the sense hes bet on a game which he can play a part in determining the result As a forward hes not gonna give 100% and try to score when hes bet on his own team to lose At one point that season all betting was frozen on Hornchurch, Billericay & Chelmsford games. Considering some of that Hornchurch team did get done for match fixing....whos to say others werent involved
