Football Rattle

Attachment Deleted  Recently while sorting out some bits n bobs in the loft I came across my old football rattle and after a few moments of flailing around like an idiot, as well as scaring the dog, cat, wife, children and probably neighbours, I wondered why nobody used these magical items anymore.
Imagine my disbelief when one of my chums told me that they are now classed as an offensive weapon and are banned from football grounds the world over.
Is this true?? Surely not.
My son is hoping they are banned as he was absolutely mortified when I suggested The Town End might be an appropriate place to blow the dust off it.

Elvis was the last person i remember to carry one of these items .
As for it being an offensive weapon i expect that is at the discretion of the club

He used to keep one in his bag didn't he? I remember him getting beating me in a mine is bigger than yours contest at London Road once (it was the little anecdote that was mentioned in the KM when he died).
