Just read that Kingstonians could be groundless if the proposed sale of Kingsmeadow goes ahead, supposedly AFC Wimbledon have had a vote on selling the ground to Chelsea if there plans to move back to Plough Lane are successful, got to feel sorry for Kingstonian's

Another story of where did it all go so wrong . They sold there old Richmond Road ground (A fantastic old fashion ground like that at Bromley or the old Dulwich Champion Hill) and after two years sharing at Hampton moved into Kingsmeadow within ten years they had made it to the conference won the FA trophy and reached the 4th round of the FA cup . All this was followed by financial problems and relegation .The club was taken over by Rajesh Khosla who asset stripped the club selling the lease on the ground to AFC . There was local talk at the time of the club leaving Kingsmeadow then and starting again at Malden/Raynes Park Vale . Now AFC no longer need the ground the council will sell the lease to the highest bidder Chelsea will win this every time. Before Wimbledon acquired the lease it was one of the proposed sites for Brentford to move to. Maybe there is food for thought here for Stones fans its boom time at the moment but things do change

Mmmmm...best we get a bigger club to come in as tenants to make sure we have plenty of rent coming in. To secure the deal we could their chairman to be on our board. What could possibly go wrong?
