3 - 1 to Ebbsfleet. Brave performance by the young Stones, but in the end undone by the pace power & aggression of Ebbsfleet, esp. the Afro Caribbean lads upfront for the Fleet.

In fairness, although only teens, they would be a real handful for a lot of Rymans defences. Look like top prospects. Your keeper was a chump. Arguing with the crowd, time wasting and getting a bollocking from.the ref for it as well. Has good physicality, but needs to wise up.

Aiming this at the wrong guy. I wished him good luck with his career. Two points, your lad got distracted by responding and goading the supporters who barracked him . He needs to keep focus and not get distracted by banter. As his career progresses and he plays to bigger gates,so will the amount of banter he gets and also the 'quality' of comments. The second point is they barracked him for his time wasting.
Even the ref ran 50 yards to admonish him. I am a member of the keepers union - my old coach - a certain Peter Bonnetti told me never to time waste as it could become your own time you are wasting. This happened last night.

Actually the ref didnt. He told him to cut out the time wasting. Honesty is a virtue.

I have no issues with your lad - the only time I spoke to him was after the the game - I wished him luck for the future ,as he did for the Fleet players. As I said, having been coached by a world cup semi finalist keeper, making a successful career in football is 70% ability,20% attitude and 10% the luck of being at the right club at the right time. I wish him a long and fruitful career - he certainly has the right physical attributes, just keep a watchful eye on his focus.

I don't often comment on here, but I think that was a fair comment handyandy. I was close and can vouch for what you say being true! A good game and your team did you proud, not much in it, but overall you had the better side on the night! Good Luck in the next round. We all learn Jim, your son's a good keeper but not the finished article yet!

Shame about the result, both teams were a privilege to their clubs! Agree 100%. Some of the football on display was of high class, passing it around on the deck , aggressive running with and off the ball, (thanks to a playing surface that wouln't look out of place in the premiership), and lots of healthy challenges. Lots of potential in Kentish football.
