Concord Rangers 1 Maidstone United 5

Comprehensive win for the Ryman U18 side against our National South counterparts.

The lads fell behind after only 10 minutes after poor defending allowed the Concord forward to advance and finish past Sam Reed , however this was only short lived , two quick strikes from Lucas Murrain ...the second a cool finish to lob the advancing Concord keeper from 20 yards gave us the lead. Murrain completed his hat trick 10 minutes from the break to give us a well deserved 3-1 lead at the break.

Following numerous changes after the break the game drifted for long periods, Maidstone enjoyed large periods of possession but failed to penetrate however Murrain added his and Maidstone's 4th with a cool finish via a slight deflection and after missing from the spot on 80 minutes Ryan Miller added a fifth in injury time.

Overall a confident display but work to be done defensively if we are to compete at the top of the Ryman League - too many easy opportunities are being gifted to the opposition and against more ruthless sides we'll be punished.
