The 2 have plans to amalgamate either next season or season after. Been in talks with the big cheeses' at Maidstone United regarding business model. Another taker for 3g.

A shame that one will go but if means that a stronger club emerges then excellent. My only thought would be the name. Walton and Hersham Casuals is the obvious choice but I also like Casual Walton or just simply Walton and Walton

How about Walton and Walton and Hersham Casuals?

i remember talking to lady behind the bar at Waltham and Hersham last time we played there and she said there were talks of their ground being knocked down and them groundsharing with the casuals, seems like it has gone further now.

I feel a little sad. I can't remember any other names from the Waltons. But what a theme tune.

Mary Beth, Erin and Elizabeth, john-boy, Ben and Jason. Ma and pa (further back there were the gramps too), Corabeth and Ike in the store, and the two dodgy old ladies in the big house on the hill.
And the voice of Earl Hamner......

Thanks for the link. Shame to see Stompond Lane in such a state, I saw my first ever football match there, and ran there for my junior school a couple of times as well. You can see why the council want to sell it for housing though- they'll make a packet. But you can also see why the club wants to stay there - central location, on the main road, near the station. The Casual's ground, by contrast is in the arse-end of nowhere.
