A good question and well thought out. My only answer is, if the ice cream is poisoned. Or has nuts in it. Now, as you've raised this subject, the next time my mrs says its salad for dinner I'm going to be a tad paranoid.

Not sure that something a wonderful as ice cream could be associated with 'revenge'. Something that's sweet & cold - could be a chilli dip you get with Indian takeaways that's left in the bottom of the carry out bag..............
Sometimes said dip gets its own revenge on you a few hours after eating it.
