If we could have a bronze statue placed, who would it be and where would they/it be placed?
Someone who has done so much for the club recently or from the past? Player? Manager? .....supporter?
Bill Williams would be a major contender. The Paul defo contender.
You choose

Elvis for me, a true Maidstone legend who sadly is no longer with us.

Another suggestion, Billy Gilbert. Came on as sub at Watling Street, made one of the worst tackles I've ever seen after five minutes of being on the pitch, got sent off and was never seen in a Stones shirt again. Total appearances = 4. Surely a record that will never be surpassed.

David Sadler. Not that I'm old enough to remember him playing for us, but he must be the only ex stone to have won the European Cup (for anyone under 40 that's what the Champions League used to be called).

Total appearances = 4. Surely a record that will never be surpassed. As has been proven on here many times, my memory is laughingly unreliable, but... I remember a new player coming on as sub at London Road (in the Barry Fry 'years', I think) - he ran across the pitch and slid straight into a tackle, breaking his leg with a crack that echoed around the ground, and left the fans wincing. He was stretchered off, and never seen again. Possibly the shortest appearance ever in a Stones shirt - I'm not even sure he touched the ball. But, no doubt, this isn't what actually happened at all! So, if anyone does remember this, or something like it, could they tell me what did actually happen?

Elvis, without question. Legend has it that he once walked from Ashford to watch us play Lydd Town.
Was Billy Gilbert the former Brentford player who had a limp? My memory may be clouded by years and beers...
