maidstoneunited.blogspot.co.uk/2014/12/standing-out-from-crowd.htmlI have just read this and I am quite surprised at its contents. OK I knew about the flare and fair enough that always gonna cause a problem but I have never heard racist chanting before at a game - any game. Also this bad abuse at the Herne Bay game - how bad was it ? I have missed the last few games with a super cold so I apart from the flare, I missed the other 2 incidents. I would love to know what was said as there is always abuse at visiting goalkeepers especially from the town end. Can you guys spread some light on the other 2 incidents ?

Wasn't at the Herne bay game sadly so I can't comment. But as I've heard it it must have been pretty bad. And I'm on the same boat I haven't heard any racism either, but I doubt terry made it all up.

I was not suggesting anything was made up I am just surprised as I stand in the town end right behind the goal and have never heard any racist chants.

Think it's racist comments and abuse from the odd individual or small group rather than chanting which would require larger numbers. I'd be surprised if people haven't heard the constant references to "Sambo" or "Spear Carriers" or "Boi" in southern states accent from a small but vocal number when teams with a number of black players come to visit. I've heard them at both ends of our ground, usually from groups of two or three, sometimes with kids in tow.

If you search through the threads for the last couple of weeks you will find a full explanation of both incidents. Terry alludes to this in his blog, he obviously read them so perhaps you could do the same to save people having to explain it all again.

I, personally, have heard racist abuse in a very small dose, twice on the terraces and moved away. That has not been something I have heard lately though and don't think it is what Terry referred to. The chanting/comments at the Herne Bay game were - unless I didn't hear all of it - no worse than what is said week in week out. It was just the boring repetition over a 45 minute period that got on everyone's nerves. We all felt sorry for the Herne Bay keeper at having to endure it and try and laugh at it as though it were original and funny.
I am glad that Terry has said this though and he is quite correct that it is sad that the blog becomes that rather than about current success on the pitch.

I was a little bit disappointed at the Directors Bah-Humbug Blog as it focused upon a negative minority issue that was best addressed quickly, robustly and discretely. The blog gave the issue and its perpetuators far more importance than deserved. Instead I want a nice festive blog, letting me know Santa is on his way and the Christmas fairy is going to ensure we win at Wrexham.
99+% of supporters go and thoroughly enjoy their match day experience, the teams exploits on the pitch and the general ambiance at the `Gallagher. The focus should not be on a tiny minority (2 or 3 people out of 2,000 !!!) and I am sure the stewards will resolve it quickly and discretely.
So back on-message please and more on progress towards the East Side Stand extension.

Only last week people were complaining about the club not communicating about these issues, and now they are that's wrong as well. There's just no pleasing some people I guess
