Cheers. "Joy of six" was a bit obvious though!
Nice to see Akrofi score - but a header?!

Very important win and big numbers, nipped a potential dip in form in the bud early(Stevenage aside)

Anyone who read what I had to say about Herne Bay on Saturday without moaning about relevance would have noted that I spoke about weakness in dealing with crosses. I also spoke about the defence having a tendency to go too deep into the box when defending. Anyone watching the fourth goal will have seen the space that Greenhalgh had on the edge of the box to place his shot.

Thought Aaron Simpson was fantastic tonight, played a big part in at least 4 of the goals, and was still running and chasing things down in the 90th minute, be amazed if this lad doesnt end up at a much higher level later in his career

Looking at the teams it seems there were no more than 2/3 first team starters playing for Herne Bay so I'm not surprised it was so easy. They looked very young and quite often we'd do something that would usually be a huge mistake but they were bad enough that it ended up working out for us. Good chance to give some game time to a few players though and we could probably win this cup again playing the reserves all the way through.

I love having full backs who like to get forward, that's why I was keen on Cox. Having both Mills and Simpson to get forward makes us much more threatening and with Rodgers and Parkinson more than capable of dropping back if the center backs need them it doesn't leave us too open either.

Aaron Simpson was excellent against Stevenage and looked even better against Herne Bay. A real talent.

It's good to have real competition for places. Hopefully Watt will be back soon, and with Simpson, Coyle and Miles playing so well, someone will have to miss out.

So jealous, Timothy. You may go to lots of games but I understand the ones I do go to far more than you ever will. Anyway, I have purchased a can of Kestrel lager and amd coming round, as promised the other night.
