Just had a look at the FA Website and it looks like we will be missing Jay May AND Jack Parkinson for the FA Match Jay obviously got a straight red (wrongly) against Sudbury so he will miss 3 games starting from 29th (VCD at home). If its true and we are postponing the Grays game. Then he will miss the Wrexham game (Big Miss) and the Letherhead game (9th Dec) Jacks suspension starts on 4th December and misses the FA cup match! I understand this is for 5 yellows. The suspension starts 14 days after the match in which you received it. So its appears he received the 5th yellow against Stevenage. I think it was for wasting time right at the end. Those are big misses for the Wrexham game. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.On a different note Wrexham lost 3-2 today at Home against Altrincham. They had 2 men sent off. And both will likley miss the FA cup Match, as their suspensions will start on the 6th December They are their two top goal scorers - Andy Bishop - Striker - 2nd bookable offence - 5 goals this season Louis Moult - Striker - straight red - 9 goals this season

Bad news on the Stones front, but excellent news re Wrexham!
Even with those suspensions, it's there for the taking - they must have the worst form in their league by now.
3rd round here we come!

Yeah that is excellent news on the Wrexham front. Regarding their form. They haven't won a league game since september. They are the bottom of the form table over the last six matches (3 draws and 3 defeats) They are 19th in the last 10 matches. They obviously started the season well, but have seriously gone off the boil since the start of October. Moult and Bishop make up 14 of their 34 goals scored in all comps this season. Still going to be a very tough game. But an away draw then a televised replay victory at the Gallagher will do nicely. (or just beat them away)

JP is still a big loss though. Didn't know that. Could be promising. If you watch the highlights, the player doesn't even react. It's not until the bench and other players persuade the ref, that he decides to make a name for himself and sends him off.

Weird, why did that post twice in the same post?
I haven' t watched the highlights yet. Don't want to recreate the anger I felt at the ref.

It's difficult to tell exactly what happened, as it's of the far side of the pitch, but it does look like there was no foul, certainly not anything worth a red card. That ref was terrible - incompetent and uncertain. And all those stops ruined the game completely. We'd still be in the FAT if it hadn't been for him.

However, to be fair, starting greenhalgh instead of jay is not a complete loss, personally I prefer Ben. And although jack is one of my favourite players, he does tit about with the ball a lot, will be nice to see browney start or perhaps move coyle into the mid. Steve is back and hopefully Alex will be fully fit. I don't see the major problem, our chances have not dramatically fallen.

But..Jay was very key in the way we played against Stevenage. He held the ball up extremely well and won free kicks in dangerous areas. I think he will be a bigger loss than JP. But Ben does bring us something different. On his day he has produce some individual brilliance. I hope browney starts instead of JP, will loose out on the height in the middle of the park but Alex's work rate and albility to break up passes will come in handy.

Jay is a good player, don't get me wrong, he was key however Saunders will have to adapt to fit in around his absence (or Ben) JP will be a loss but obviously we can carry on without him. P.S I don't think the keeper was expecting jay to connect with his shot uthat badly in first minute, it caught him out. May's quality or just a cock up? We'll never know

Did you also note Alex Akrofi on NINE yellow cards. Anyone know how many games he gets for 10 before December 31st?

Can only hope May's appeal is successful, his hold up play is vital. JP will be hugely missed, we'll have to change our game plan without him, neither Browny or Jordan can fill his role but that's not to say we won't be just as much of a threat if we suit our tactics to the players at our disposal.
