True, but with Hendon winning it could be a 3 horse race soon. Never going to be easy today for us.

Four teams directly below us won today.

We always knew it was going to be tough today. The league did us no favours with not re-arranging the fixture. The silver lining is that Margate lost to a team in 17th.
Theres a long way to go this season, need to take one game at a time. VCD at home next week. COYS

Indeed. VCD at home next week. Margate and Hendon also playing at home, so 3 points a must. COYS

It was always going to be difficult playing a side that are going pretty well in a totally soulless ground. Always new it would be back to the regular away support but thought a few more might have been encouraged to go on the back of Thursday's performance.

I really wanted to go, obviously I support the lads, but I couldn't get the transport. I was gutted to be brutally honest.

It's always difficult when there are as many games as there have been lately. I have to spend some time at home.

Personally, my job is giving me lots of shifts on match days, lately, and I have also decided to spend more time with my little ones. Then again I am excused because I didn't go on Thursday.

Why not do that then get on the club coach? Just asking like

Well, people make it when they can, don't they? No one claims to be the best and turn up to every game, it's impossible, but as long as you do your bit that's that.

Whats Margate's excuse they really are poor, just a team of individual mercenary footballers who are failing.
We knew we would have tired legs and it was always going to be a bit after the lord mayors show, just 40 hours after a game which in all honesty was most of our players biggest game in there careers to date.
Results probably irrelevant ,as Margate didn't capitalize ,we have the games in hand so we are in the driving seat not them.
Whole week off now ,for most,i cant see more than one or two playing midweek, all fresh for VCD.

Im not sure you can call a team 7 points clear at the top failing? Yes we have some games in hand but as everyone knows the chances of us winning all four are anything but a forgone conclusion, with heavier more wintery pitches ahead were in an ok position but another couple of defeats and the whole picture could begin to change. we need to get back to winning ways saturday and put some pressure back on the pack but dont expect vcd to just roll over for us.

After all the 'Maidstone til I die' chants in Society rooms on Thursday I though we'd need three coaches at least! Unless of course I missed an epidemic sweeping through the town!
