...I felt we didn't play any different to a league game. I thought Stevenage were disappointing and looked to have no more quality than us. Dulwich have certainly been more impressive down the years and I think Margate will come and present a better game (sorry FortressLamex if you are reading). I think this really highlights how good Maidstone United is because there didn't seem to be much of a change in the way we play to other games.

Stevenage were better tonight than at their place, but you're right, there wasn't a great deal of difference between the two teams. What surprised me tonight was that we didn't fade in the last 10 minutes like we did in the first game.

Gadge in the pub was asking if we would fade in the last ten mins and I said that we had scored a few late goals this season. Luckily we didn't disappoint. He won some dosh and I looked like I knew what I was talking about. It was interesting how everyone that came into thepub and clocked the game immediately started talking about our pitch

Wonderful for a change - do you think it maybe true love at last ? Or just a fleeting moment in all the excitement Legs ?

Hopefully everyone wakes up to the fact that we are lucky to have Jay Saunders as manager. A top top manager who could easily be picked up by a higher club!
Special mention to Nicky Southall - his input has been noticeable also

Shame that the BBC commentator suggests the pitch was responsible for the Stevenage keeper parrying Jay May's shot for the first goal. The reality was that Day had quite a poor game and he simply should have done better with it.
