Brilliant tonight. What a crazy end, right in the middle of the mixer. Thrown around with everyone else in the town end. Main stand were on viagra and very animated, singing from all over the place and very well done to jay and the boys. We are all very proud of you all. Coymfs. Main Stand were a revelation - clapping in time, even joining in with the chanting at the end! An experience I've never had before at non-league game - the home supporters chanting from three sides of the ground. Amazing support - so much for we only make a noise away!

It was hard work getting them going though, and bloody difficult keeping them in time. How can we all be singing a different line in a chant that only has 4 words.

My daughter was speculating that you'd somehow synchronised their pacemakers...

I was so nervy that I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. Absolutely on a different level tonight.

Scoring right at the start and going in one up at half-time helped, but also the way we played - there wasn't the usual FAC nerves because the 'little' side are just defending and breaking. But the best thing was scoring the winner so late that there really wasn't time for Stevenage to equalise again - the end of the game was a celebration, rather than a relief.

A brilliant team effort. For me, two things stood out tonight - the way we defended in the absence of 'captain marvel', and also the way we recovered from the initial shock of conceding just after half-time when most other non-league sides probably would have folded. Those things say an awful lot about our side.
I thought the substitution was correct, only because Bodkin was spent and running on empty for the ten minutes or so before that. Ben is a very good player and we're lucky to have him to come on in those situations. Funnily enough I was saying on here a day or two ago that he still has those skills that won him the Sky series and he showed it tonight with a great run and cross for goal number two. Proves we have a very good squad depth and we'll need that going forward.

That was singing in the round - don't you remember singing Frere Jacqua (or however it's spelled) at school

Bit worried about the pitch 'invasion' though. The FA is pretty hot on this these days, let's hope they appreciate the circumstances and just let us off with a warning. I was more concerned about the numpties ruining the pitch!

I was more concerned about the numpties ruining the pitch! it occurred to me today (thinking about the smoke bomb) - what if some moron smuggles in a flare and it ends up on the pitch? Surely it would melt it, or perhaps the pitch would burn? And then, if someone picked it up to get rid of it, where would they put it? Where is there that's safe to put a burning flare?!

Did any Stewards move into the Townend after the flare went off ? I would of thought the flare would be more problematic than the pitch invasion!

Watching on Tv 2 stewards the non high vis ones moved towards the flare area, the camera panned away soon after. Flares are normally placed in buckets of sand.
