Just taking this opportunity to wish you guys the best of luck tonight.
Personally speaking, I detest Stevenage with a passion.

Cheers for that. Personally I found their fans OK, but the manager seemed a bit of a git.

Years ago I read an article claiming Stevenage were the most detested club in non-league. Something to do with arrogance and thinking they were a big club. Obviously not something we noticed about them recently. Maybe going from a big fish in a small pond to a small fish in a big pond changed perceptions. Something we would do well to remember in the coming years. Maybe the article was just written by someone with a grudge.

PS - thanks tonysingh. Like many Stones fans, I've got a lot of time for Dulwich - team and fans.
It would be really good if it were to be our two clubs going up at the end of this season, instead of you-know-who.
Seeing us and Dulwich get promoted, and knowing just how pissed off Margate would be, would just about make my year!

I now dont think you lot will be a threat, you have a very good team and have our bodders who was an extremely good player but these cup games will tell and the more you play the better it will be for us ....... Dulwich will make the play-offs, and I REALLY look forward to playing you lot in March. Best of luck against Wrexham, I reckon you'll beat them by a margin...... but your league status will suffer.

Normally I'd agree with you, and I wouldn't be too surprised if we draw or even lose at Met Police on Saturday. But this team really is different - I've been watching the Stones for 34 years, so I've got a pretty good idea of what a really good team looks like, and this is it. This isn't a team of top players put together with a lot of money, or a team just on a good run, this is a really solid, talented group of players, who play as a team, and a squad where almost every position has a player just as good as replacement. This is a coming together of something special, something that we've been working towards since we got back home. You might be lucky and see us stutter a bit, but don't be mislead, we'll soon catch you up again, and then you'll know what it's like to be in a real race for promotion. Seven points behind, with four games in hand - we're going to have to stutter a lot to blow that. Watch the TV coverage of tonight's game and think on...

ok - didnt expect a quick reply but will do you the honour with the same ... quick reply, enjoy tonite and enjoy the euphoria of a great win against league two opposition. I reckon you "do" have an exceptional team for this league and yes our team is/probably made of exceptionally paid players........................................... but they will have played a slight amount of games than your team and if we are being honest thats where the similiarity ends - good luck on your travels fellas but you know when it comes to the league we now hold a .... slight advantage

Depth of squad will be crucial. The likes of Greenhalgh, Coyle, Brown and Akrofi will become very important as the season progresses because we can't keep relying on the same players to be 100% fit as the matches pile up. Coyle and Greenhalgh reminded us how good they are tonight, so that bodes well. Not surprising I suppose that Frannie is walking the man of the match vote but for me Coyle was immense. To come in and fill Steve Watt's position on such a big night and do that well is something else.

Watt has this habit of trying to play as a winger when the opposition have the ball and are bearing down on our goal!

If we can get thought December and still be within touching distance or ahead then its all to play for. Out of the re-arranged fixtures if we can get 3 wins and a draw then that will put us 3 points ahead. By the new year we will possibly only have the league cup and KSC to play for. (Unless we're in the FA Cup 3rd round). Margate are basically relying on us dropping points. Maybe they should concentrate on their own results rather than constantly looking over their shoulders and hoping we trip up. It's comical how 'obsessed' Margate are with Maidstone. When we barley spare them a thought.

I reckon its called friendly banter, if we're honest a majority of supporters Margate/Maidstone will be hoping for either to slip up because this season is/will be riveting to watch for the sit on the fence type of supporter but crap if you've got a dodgy ticker , again well done on your win last night and I can barely wait til we play you in March.
