Will all be irrelevant next season when our capacity is 3,000. Not 100% sure, you reckon? I mean the demand + people already going does this add to under 3000? If so then yes this may well be the last time we have this problem, in which case everyone could ditch their fan club membership in theory. If not then there you go, it starts again next season.

It's a debate which there is no outcome to keep everyone happy. So, we just have to abide by whatever system our club wants to use. It's no good whinging about what you think the club should do, I do wonder if the people who have reacted against how the club implement the ticket sales, have actually contacted the club to air their views, or just come on here to do it?

The club already know the faults in their system, they have admitted its not ideal but its what we have got. I agree that there will always be someone unhappy but thats the way it will always go.

I have a season ticket at one of the top 4 premier league clubs. For games with a limited capacity / away days / cup finals etc it is done on a loyalty basis. Oh, I thought you were an Arsenal supporter...
That would make sense - aren't Arsenal the ultimate top 4 club? When did they last finish outside of the top 4? And haven't they been Top 4 for longer than anyone else?

I might become a Vice President next season. It doesn't make me better than anybody else. If you want tickets that badly, go to stevenage !

I just managed to find my Qpr 79/80 season loyalty book used by many clubs before computer data bases on line sales when it was cash only. Reading the rules when you bought a ticket or payed at the turnstiles you had a dated stamp against that game or left blank if you missed that game. The rating system worked over the last twenty games and would carry over to the next season, If you had 15 to 20 stamps you have a gold level 9 to14 a silver level and 3 to 8 is a bronze level. Because its only based on the last twenty games your level constantly changed so it only rewarded recent loyalty Even in them days Season tickets were first on big games gold second then silver third then bronze forth and a full day of sales at each level before going on general sale. Time's do change but I didn't ever remember seeing the same level of disappointment I witnessed yesterday so I would like to hear why 35 years later why a similar loyalty system wouldn't be workable here in 2014.

Thats very workable and also a very fair system its based on recent loyalty. So none of this old Cods of i went to the last massive game at Stevenage or i went to stones games back in the day ,but cant be arsed now,but only want a ticket cos its a big game. Ive seen many pro club loyalty ideas ,and most would never work for us because they need digital input from a database of fans on a membership seeing as we dont sell tickets over the phone or online Every club has glory hunters for a big game, anyone who hasn't got a ticket ,hasn't tried hard enough. its pretty simple any idiot can do it ,join the club ,shell out 15 quid, don't get me started on the absolute knobs who waited for a ticket yesterday spent a tenner to get in ,then left before the game started. Why didn't they join the club ,for the rest of the season ,all that money is for the club anyway, rather than waste a tenner that gets split with Sudbury Someone mentioned the totals of fan club and STH,and if the cup run has increased membership,i got my Membership this season ,the night of the epic Harrow game, and well before Welling my Membership is in the 150's,so it's more than doubled since, thats if membership numbers run in order.

Someone asked how many ST holders and fan club members there were. Well, way back on page 3 (I happened to remember it, I didn't trawl back through 13 pages!) lcfc posted:
"The guy in front of me was asking how many Season Ticket holders & Supporters Club Members there were and was told 600 & 320 respectively."
600 seems about right for ST holders, but 320 fan club members struck me as a bit low, especially as (presumably) the main reason for joining would be to get priority for all-ticket games (there doesn't seem to be any other substantial benefit).
But if this figure is correct, then why are so many fans moaning about getting tickets, when only 320 of us bothered to cough up £15 to ensure we do get a ticket? If you want to be sure of getting a ticket, give the club £15 to the stand extension fund, it couldn't be simpler.

My fan club membership is about 180, I signed up for the Welling game and was told when getting tickets that about 100 had signed up that week. I've got sympathy for regular goers who didn't get a ticket but as soon as the Welling game was announced and I knew I didn't want to miss it after going to almost every game for a season and a half I decided £15 was worth it for me. Fair enough to those who don't want to pay it but at the end of the day it'll mean you get a ticket.

The views on this are split between those who believe tickting priority should given either to loyalty OR to a yearly £15 payment.

Season ticket holders pay for all games in advance. They might not go but they are always paid for.

The only problem would be if the fan club membership exceeds 1,906. But we are a LONG way from that!
