What can you say really . Atmosphere our end was at times brilliant . As for the game they were always going to have chances or play some sort of league footy ( that was far and few between ) Thought we played and battled superbly. Everyone deserves mom but I thought bodkin was excellent today. I also thought we passed it around quite we'll today. That ball to Frannie in the last ten minutes , I thought jumping out my seat this was it but alas it wasn't to be . Overall a superb day out and the boys done good whatever the replay score is, even more money for the club To be in the hat also tomorrow is another great advert for the club. Well done to all the Stones fans and the team for not looking out of place against an average looking 2nd division team ! COYS

A great display today, the fans were loud and proud. It would be great to get the game on TV just to show all them teams who voted against 3G it's not as bad as some people think, and educate them! Coys

I have a funny feeling that our 3g pitch will encourage the BBC to screen it live

Fabulous day out, the fans and the team gave it their all and thoroughly deserved the draw, on another day we might have nicked it. Disappointing turnout from the Stevenage fans though, 1500 for a home FA Cup game, they won't be looking forward to coming to ours.

Stevenage fan in peace
Firstly want to start off by saying congratulations on the result today, you made us look ordinary for the majority of the game without really having to up yours. From a Stevenage point of view of our play was sloppy and uncontrolled with passes going to nowhere and our boys hoofing the ball whenever they felt a little lost (which was all too often). Have to say neither team really deserved a win today but it would have been cruel if either of our late chances had crept in.
In defence of our attendance, when we've been to bigger teams down the years in the cup (eg Leicester, Spurs, Everton etc) their home ends were usually pitifully empty whilst we almost always sold out our away allocation. Without meaning to sound big headed in terms of the number of leagues between us this would have been like our lot going to Southampton, we'd take loads but I can hardly see their end being capacity. Our team is struggling for form and considering we have local teams like Luton, Watford, Arsenal and Tottenham to compete with for fans gettimg high average attendances has never been easy.
Still well done on the terrific atmosphere, it was my girlfriend's match today and despite the 0-0 scoreline she loved the atmosphere especially from your end.
Looking forward to (dreading) coming to your place for the replay.
Quick question, how different really is the 3G pitch from grass?

As for our pitch, not a lot of difference to a good quality grass pitch. If any team likes to play decent passing football they will enjoy it, only thing that does catch you out sometimes is the bounce of the ball, it is consistent but can be slightly lower than a hard grass pitch.

Quick question, how different really is the 3G pitch from grass? 3G is a ready made excuse for losing managers, but in reality you forget it's not grass while watching the game. Obviously in an ideal world we would all play on decent grass surfaces, but how many of those are there in January and February outside the premiership.

Several years ago when we played Accrington in the playoff semis (League 2) they had a number of massive furrows ploughed down the centre of their pitch. If we can play through the dark ditches of Lancashire and live bring on your plastic pitch of doom

Our gaffer is pretty good at research and the only excuse he uses is the officials (who honestly seem to have it in for us most of the time haha). It should be a learning curve for our lads.

Great game, great atmosphere ... superb advert for non league football !! Everyone in the team a hero today. A massive thanks to the directors and owners of Maidstone United for bringing us back in our town and making days like today possible, also a big up to Jay, Nicky and all the coaching staff for the way they prepared our team for the game. The job is only half done as it is often said, so let's finish it at our place !!. Still dreaming of an FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium ... Maybe we could then ask the FA if we could lay a 3G pitch for the occasion !! C'mon you Stones !!
