There were around 30 people watching the draw down the snooker club tonight and it was exciting to even be in this situation. The fact that we have a league 1 club is pretty good and I for one cannot wait to go.
Still Bromley away first !

Could be a Friday or Sunday game! Hoping it's not a Sunday ! Hopefully that will be sorted quickly. Although not the best team in the world but another little earner for the club.

I can see it being a Saturday game at 3pm and turn up and pay on the gate. Don't see the need for the clubs to make it all ticket for us if there are 1500 seats in the away end.

I can't see it being all-ticket. It's not the most attractive game for them and so they would expect a modest number of home fans to turn up, therefore from a commercial point of view it makes sense to allow as many Stones fans as possible attend the game. I know it's a big day out for us but I would be surprised if we have enough travelling to fill that stand - I reckon we can do about 1,000.

So far our FA Cup prize money this season is standing at around £27,500 so that alone is a great effort from Jay and the lads! With 50% of ticket sales for Stevenage game split plus any bonus of TV money and the potential of £18,000 for the winners this is still a very attractive draw!

From a selfish point of view, a game not too far from home, at a league ground, where I can just roll up and get a ticket, is perfect. There was one point in the draw where you could see ball 66 lying at the bottom, about the stage when Bromley and Dartford came through I think. It could've been so much worse. As it is it'll be a cracking day out with probably no restrictions on Stones turning up.

I just hope it's the Saturday or Sunday as I can only do weekends due to having no annual leave left.
Will non IMUSC/Supporters Club members be able to get places on the coach?

No! You have to be in the Travel Club, no point having the rule if you break it at the first opportunity You also have to show your imusc / fan club membership to book

They only have to give us 15% of tickets. Think demand will outstrip supply, sadly. I wouldn't worry... if you want tickets, you will get them. Our away end holds 1400, we will give you all that as an absolute minimum. If there is significant demand for more tickets (although judging by most people's estimation there won't be) we could allocate up to 500 in the Main Stand. Bearing in mind Luton brought 1900, I suspect 1400 will be plenty. Fact is, its all money. So I would be surprised if we deny you the tickets you want.

Good news from agenteves (nice board name - on a par with "need into stadium" or "Team? I'd out Sinden")
Stock the bar well too, as some of our supporters are known to have well over two pints of beer at matches.

Our Mutual Friend offers a good selection of real ales and is only a stones throw from the ground. (See what I did there?)
The club bar is... alright. Nothing special, and no more or less than you would expect from a club bar. Just don't talk to me if you see me in there cos I'll bare knife you up, bruv.
I have to say, I was like "WTF is a Maidstone" when I heard the draw, but I'm actually really looking forward to this now. If you bring the crowd that you say you are going to, it should be a great atmosphere. I will be surprised (and equally impressed) if you do manage to out sing us though. We may have a small(ish) following, but we do have good singers on the East Terrace and we will give as good as we get.
You'll probably find that a lot more of our fans are looking forward to this than you'll give credit for. Whilst we love being in the Football League, there is a definite pining from many fans for the old days in the Conference, where you have a much more friendly atmosphere and don't have to put up with clubs like pOxford acting like they own football because they played somewhere near the top of the Pyramid once about 150 years ago.
If you come in numbers, sing loudly, and want a good atmosphere/friendly fans, then, IMO, you have a perfect tie.
Although clearly we are going to absolutely smash you because you're some sh!t team from the Kent Amateur Southern Sunday League and we are the mighty Stevenage who deserve to win just by being in the Football League.
Seriously, we will smash you. As long as your defenders are prepared to score for us (we beat Burton on Saturday without having a single shot on goal the entire game (on or off target)).

Dover had them same stage a couple of years ago, they were top of CS, boro were high flying in league 1 then ,Dover pal said they were ok ,we just couldn't get the ball of them!.
I know a couple of our fans log on to the Dover forum, perhaps ask those chaps for a bit of insight for an away fan.
Dover had that end and took well over the 1k.
If we took 1k to Margate on a Tuesday we will definitely take the full 1400-1500 that they offer.I do hope the supporters club lay on several coaches to encourage and help more to travel.

He said in an earlier thread - "Such a mix of names in the hat - loads of old adversaries from Div 4 / Southern League / Gola League days. Altrincham would be more of an interesting draw than Stevenage in that respect." He's a witch, burn him, burn him!
