V, If you talk to any of the owners I'm pretty sure you'll find that a scoreboard is not one of their priorities Really? I'd better get my hearing checked, because I swear that's what they asked us to to when I sat in that meeting!

Asking someone to do something because they got pissed off listening to people moaning about it is something different to making it a priority.
Reading hack through this thread I'm starting to sound like nws. I am going to play on the motorway.

I went down at 2.15pm and all I saw was one couple buying tickets. It was hardly a mad scramble. all the panicking about genuine supporters missing out was nonsense. It's entirely possible, of course, that interest in the match has been over-estimated. If we reach the first round proper and get league opposition at home, then it might be a different story.
As sales had been on the slow side, I was allowed to buy two tickets. Quite rightly, discretion was used - it's better for the club to take the money when offered now, rather than stick to one person, one ticket and then find a capacity crowd actually doesn't turn up on the day.

It seems to me that the itmusc have a big chip on their shoulders. Why not join the club fan club and stop bleating like spoilt brats Really unfair comments these guys spend so so much time and effort for no gain at all, All solely for the good of the club and it's fans I got nothing but admiration for them so it might be worth looking a bit closer before name calling mate. I personally I don't understand why the club feels the need to run another supporters club . In my humble opinion a supporters club is not a supporters club unless it is run and controlled by its supporters. To me the fan club is in fact a privilege club.

Oh FFS the supporters club is for supporters as is imusc. I'm not a member of either but my son is a member of the official one. If I want a badge and money off the coach travel I'll join one. If I want priority tickets, discount in the club shop, travel and various other things I'll join the other.
I saw Springfields wind up but I'm going to say it's not the committee that have anything on their shoulders but some members of imusc who have no real understanding of how things work. Wake up smell the coffee you bumbling fools.

Oh I forgot to say the club can run what the bloody hell they like. If the want run a supporters club they can. They can also charge what the hell they want for people to join.
You are deluded and indeed a fool if you think it is a privilege thing.

Just wondering if we could get this to develop into a fc United scenario. Imusc members twirling black and amber scarves while the official club members twirl amber and black. Possibly then moving on to crap Monty Python quotes about splitters.

Yes JT you are sounding like NWS. You are also wrong, the club ate so keen on having a scoreboard that they can't wait for 170 supporters to raise the funds they are going to put in themselves So imusc members will put their money into another project THE CLUB WANTS!

Shock horror Stones fans arguing with each other again..!Im a member of both clubs ,both have Stones supporters ,both help to support the club.
We have a fantastic board who are easily approached at matches both home and away, that said a good club should always have a solid independent voice.I believe the board,or any future board members who our very aware of our History should always maintain very close links with the imusc.

When I went for my ticket (why couldn't the club mail it to me in Mallorca?), there was a youth match in progress - I missed the late Maidstone goal. Anyone know the result (apart from the flak from my missus because I was late home)?

But my point is that anyone can go along to any of the events you organise so it's not just the members.
I raised £15'000 (in 9 days)for st Christophers hospice a few years ago. It went towards training a nurse. Does that mean if anyone I know needs a bed I can push in past other people.
I know full well that you have never mentioned that your members will get priority tickets. I just wish some of those on here would just read up on a few things first.

I'm not in either club. Just turn up on match days and watch a bit of football.

What you guys really need to do is to just set up a Black Market system for tickets so that us - Newbies - could just show up and buy a ticket in the Saxon Chief or Brenchly Gardens or some other such famous Maidstone landmark !!! Problem solved. COYS
