I (apparently) don't remember the home game, but my (apparently unreliable) memory of the away game is that we were pretty comprehensively outplayed, so the end result was pretty fair.
Anyway, it was all my fault. My eldest was mascot at a home game we should definitely have won, but lost instead. Those three points would have given us automatic promotion, and everything would have been different.
I killed Maidstone United....
